My car is already fixed. I am also in Canada, but my dealer didn't mentioned about the missing bolt.

Amazing that cars are being fixed in us and Canada yet are not being fixed at the factory!!

Heard nothing in the UK about a date for when the diff's are going to be replaced. No-one knows nothing. Mine is sat in the dealers waiting for a diff to arrive.

Already fixed? Why no delivery then?

In my case they say that because I have already technically taken delivery of the car (ED) I was priority for the fix... Don't know what to believe anymore.

The car fixed by yesterday. I have not decide to pick up the car yet. If there is missing of bolt, how did they fixed my car? Or they are using the old one to instead.

When I inquired about 2017 models this was the response:

BMW 2017 models are under retrofit at the factory and will be delayed about 30--40 days more. So the 2017 should be here based upon that estimate in about 4-6 months from now.

But you really want a 2016 model because the maintenance is 4 years or 50k miles and covers brakes and the 2017 models are only 36 month or 36k miles and does NOT cover the brakes.

Heard back from PCD today and got offered an August 29th date. The email said that that was the earliest they could do, I asked my CA to reach out to see if there was any way to push it up to next week. I really need it by the 26th, we'll see what they say. I even told them that I would be willing to give up the PCD experience if I could just pick up the car (would really suck to miss out, but would do it if it helped). Convenient that August 29th would make it 9 weeks and 6 days... right before I could start asking for compensation, lol

Technically that is true as far as 2016 vs 2017 goes but you have to decide whether that really matters or applies to you or not. If leasing for 3 years for example then you prob wouldn't care about it. Or maybe you are buying but only plan on keeping the car for 2-3 years.

A couple of other different things btw:
Adpt suspension became standard in 2017 with only a base price increase of $500 which means a net -500 if you would have gotten that option to begin with. Then also now the standard paints went up by 200 i think

Thanks. Just arrived home. Not a bad run and minor detour in Louisiana for 1-10 closure.
Slightly under 1000 miles. 12.5 hours and 1 speeding ticket. Tried to talk my way out of it but he wasn't having it. 90/75. Dammit. Police everywhere all day and Valentine did a great job but 50 miles from home and got hit by a laser - didn't make a sound - weird. Picked up laser earlier today!

Having the same issue with my 2017 230. Sitting at Baltimore since the 11th. Code attached says it's a "Diagnostic" issue. CA believes it's an EPA thing. Apparently BMW is shipping cars without the proper EPA certification. No one knows how long it will be.

BMW had the best sales month in july wolrdwide, I wonder if this whole cluster will have a noticeable impact in the months to come.

Not likely...the M brand is such a small percentage of the overall sales that I don't think it would even make a dent.

Having spoken with colleagues working with BMW, aggressive targets were set for the year with funding margins being sacrificed to ensure volumes for the 100th anniversary year were strong. Listening to some fleet managers in the UK some vehicles are basically being given away. In terms of volumes its likely the UK will drop if the pound weakens against the euro but globally I think your right that volumes won't be negatively impacted given the small% of sales made up of m cars.

Just an update on my situation. My CA contacted PCD and they came back with a tentative date of August 26th. The only issue is that they said they can't confirm that date until they receive the car and it goes through inspection. They plan to receive the car on August 25th.... meaning I'll get a last minute yes or no to book my flight. I have no clue why it's taking almost two weeks since repairs were completed to get the car to PCD

Glad to hear you're getting some kind of update. I call genius daily and nothing has changed with my car. Thing has been sitting since July 4 and they have no clue when the next movement will be. I have to give them a little wiggle room because the car initially was a dealer inventory car that probably had the lowest priority of all affected cars and rightly so but now that it has been put into customer sold status I would hope that there will be some movement soon. Very frustrating how they have handled this for everyone
