Locked up my allocation!
I had been sitting on the side lines debating with myself over grabbing a M2C and decided at the beginning of April to pull the trigger. I’ve probably watched every YouTube video out there and thought I’d kick myself for eternity if I didn’t buy one. I got super lucky when I called up my dealer and they had one last slot that could be configured as I chose. Now I wait...
As 99% of other M2C owners have done I have chosen to go with HS. The big let down for me on this car is I find the colors less than interesting so I am considering doing a full wrap. Anyone have a Chicago area recommended shop for wraps? Other specs include 6MT, black 788M, executive package, slick top, M Performance carbon fiber rear diffuser with PCD. Figured this would be a fun day and then help me reach the break in mileage a little easier. BMW doesn’t offer port install of the CS rear diffuser so that will get added once I get home. Other than that it will be left as is with no intentions, as of now, to making any other mods. |

According to BMW genius line my time on the line will be done on May 11. Getting close now!!
I am still planning on the PDC pick up but have seen other posts that it can add up to two months of waiting for a time slot. Anyone else have an update on timing? I don’t want to skip it but that is a long time to wait when you live in the snow belt and good driving weather is in short supply!!! |

Not that it matters too much, but it's really easy to see the VIN in those pictures
Congratulations on making it before it's done forever!

Congratulations! I picked mine up yesterday. I did the same thing and called BMW Genius when the car left the port. They gave me the vessel name, and it's easy to track once you have that. Another layer of making waiting a bit more fun.

The wait is agonizing!! The ship docked in Baltimore on the 13th of June and the car has still not been assigned to a carrier. I was really hoping to have before the July 4th weekend to get it out on the road. Patience…
I’m starting to think I need to head out there and bust her free!! 😜 |

RoRo doesn't work like container ships though, so I am sure everything is totally fine and above board |

Just under three months from ordering it finally got here yesterday! Now the next adventure of clocking 1,200 miles of break-in before the power is unleashed! 40 miles of smiles already!! It came in with 14 miles which seems like it may have had a 9 mile ride with a tech before I got my hands on it. The odometer statement had 5 miles crossed off and 14 written in. Next up is PPF then I will feel better getting it out and about.
