At present, I have no reason nor seen any hard facts to warrant the time to switch from GFB DV+ to TS PnP.

Two guys said their GV+ was leaking. One later replied saying it could be an installation error, not putting oil on the seal before installation. He swapped to the TS Dual Port and FTP Inlet Pipe and provided before/after logs. Boost looks exactly the same between logs. I wonder if his DV was ever leaking in the first place, or if he was testing it at too high of a PSI. He says he leak tested at 25psi. The other came back and said he tested the DV+ and it wasn't leaking, but swapped to the TS product anyway. He's the one who said it felt more responsive. |

Like you guys I wouldn’t rip out a DV+ to put this in, but as an initial purchase just trying to decide which way to go. |

Didn't know about throttle reset BP thanks I'll give it a go. Trying to decide if worth getting DV+ installed when I do FBO later, seems stock unit is sturdy enough physically.
Is there any boost overrun per se with the DV+ like an unnatural tendency for car to keep surging forward after hard boost even though throttle has been let off? For some reason I imagine this to be the case?! |

If paying for FBO then adding any DV upgrade is worthwhile IMHO esp as install is way easier whilst you are installing cooler, boost pipes and inlet pipe upgrades. As said above the decision is GFB DV+ at ~ £100 or TS PnP at ~£200. My GFB DV+'d car's throttle response is fine or no surging etc on part pedal or overrun

Just got some great pricing from Mike at XPH on the Turbosmart and Pure inlet pipe.
Will let everyone know how it feels once it’s on! |

In the first response to this thread, I listed three ways to decrease lag.
1) Diverter valve upgrade 2) Increasing burble timing to where you're usually in a burble event when applying throttle. 3) adding nitrous to spin the turbo faster at low rpm... disabling nitrous when outside of the lag-zone. #1 is being discussed here. Obviously #3 isn't for most people, so I understand the lack of discussion on it. But I'm wondering why #2 isn't being discussed here. Do you guys not notice a significant decrease in lag when you apply throttle while the burbles are still active? The difference is night and day in my car, which is using the OEM DV and turbo, and throttle response is instantaneous. |

Interesting. I've got a manual and I've noticed... Weird power behavior sometimes when I'm wanting to give it the beans. Now I'm wondering if this is the issue. How obnoxious.

custom tune; they can alter your boost/load to come in sooner, but your curve will fall sooner too..Example; the turbo will supply air for 3000rpms…If it starts at 2500 it will nose over at 5500, if you bring it on at 3000 it might make it to 6k & so forth…This isn’t absolute, but generally speaking.. Stage 2/2+ will feel great..I could kick the car sideways and chirp second with 4 adults in my car…2nd gear pulls thru 4th are really fun…There’s some torque there… Get a downpipe, intercooler, chargepipe and stage 1 hpfp…Then when stage 2/2+ feels boring…start tinkering with ethanol blends… |

Yeah makes total sense. I’m equipped with a CTS cold air intake, VRSF downpipe, MHD stage 2 and now the ARM FMIC and charpioe, so we’ll see. I think I’ll stick with stage 2, maybe stage 2+ later on but 🤷🏽‍♂️

No reason not to go 2+ vs 2 on MHD if you have a downpipe and intercooler.
MHD’s Stage 1 is about MPPK level, the stage 2 about around stock M2 level, maybe more torque. Stage 2+ is on par with BM3 stage 2. MHD does have new HPFP maps, but I haven’t seen much on them yet. |

The chargepipe, intercooler and downpipe are more important. If you have those, you’re ok. |
