The Real Life Photos of Standard Equipped X7's (Quite Rare At Launch) Thread
As someone who has recently ordered a rather de-featured mostly-standard equipped X7 I can tell you how hard it is to find real-world photos of many of the standard features. BMW shipped out fully loaded and tricked out interiors specifically, I must have visited 10 dealers in my local area and didn't come across a single example with the standard interior and standard wheels that my car is going to come with. Until today. This X7 had the following standard features for those getting a configuration that's under $80K: Black Vernasca Leather (non-Extended) Fineline Brown Wood Trim Standard (non-Glass) Shifter & Panel 21" Y-Spoke Bi-Color wheels My observations? Sport seats (yay!), perforations in the leather, nice faux stitching on the dashboard and armrest area, the Fineline Brown trim is almost black and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. The shift knob is a bit basic but it's glossy and black and matches the rest of the cluster. And the wheels? Love them, they look fantastic, I prefer them to any of the upgraded versions. If you have photos of standard equipment (on a personal note the Cognac Vernasca Leather would be really appreciated) please post 'em! Last edited by toddwalton; 03-26-2019 at 05:30 PM.. |

I like those black wheels. Finally, no brake dust issues anymore and they build a unit with the tire so they certainly don' t appear small. Those on a black X7 = stealth-mode...

Another hard-to-find base model X7, found this one on a lot and was the first time I could see Arctic Grey against Cognac on the same car at the same time. Very happy with my build decision. This car also is the first one I've seen with the base audio system (no brand badges) and what appears to be Anthracite-Brown Poplar Matte Finish Wood Trim (it's matte, I'm pretty sure it's Brown Poplar) and no leather dash (the Sensatec has the same stitching which is cool, runs on the door panels too). And as seen on the other base I photographed, it has the standard shifter and stop start button. |

I actually think the standard interior looks pretty good! Normally I feel like in BMWs optioning up the interior is critical to making it feel right inside but X7 does pretty well in base spec

Definitely. Sport Seats are standard, the audio system is superior to what I had in my X5, the wood trims are great, the soundproof glass....standard spec in an X7 is quite sumptuous by any measure.
