Looks great! Did you need to put spacers on the front to fit the 265s?

Thanks. 3mm front spacers for a little more clearance for the KW HAS setup. No rubbing anywhere. I think you could go 275 with a slightly bigger spacer. The camber makes a big difference

Thanks. There were 4-5 M2's at Mosport this past weekend for BMWCCA Trillium HPDE. I noticed that the DSC wasn't in love with the square setup, even in MDM it was very active versus a staggered setup. I'm investigating a flash for Euro MDM. Outside of that, the M2 likes stickier tires and an aggressive alignment and is a fun car for the track

I'm planning on bringing my coding cable and laptop to the Hanson event on June 21 at Mosport DDT, I'm interested to compare the Euro MDM vs US MDM. It seems like it should be a really easy change.

I really need to get it sorted, my rear brake pads are wearing faster than the fronts due and I struggled to get any power down out of slow corners and even medium corners were a problem at times.

It was good seeing you at Mosport last weekend Kris and thanks for riding along for my last Saturday session, it was a great weekend.

How are you liking the -2.6 camber up front? I'm thinking of doing -2.5 for both street and track once my GCs come in.

Stock toe or zeroed?

I was thinking of potentially doing a square setup as well. Thanks for the insight! I'm still a bit torn but having the ability to rotate is definitely invaluable. Hopefully Euro MDM helps resolve your issue.

It's great- turn in feels instant without feeling twitchy. The car is more fun. Toe is about zero, I'll try to get the exact specs. My plates have a few settings so I am going to dial it back by a degree so I don't wear the tires unevenly in street use.

I am running a square 255/35/18 FL-5 set up using Hankook RS-4s. I didn't run in MDM at Tremblant this past weekend but the car had so much grip and was so balanced that I can't imagine needing it. I have about 2.6 degrees of camber up front, max caster, and some toe (my specs are at home). Stock suspension.

My FL-5s are 9.5 inches wide -- I'm not sure more tire would be of benefit.

I am also running PFC-08 compound pads all around. I struggled with braking -- the M2 pedal doesn't feel as linear and progressive as that on my previous E46 M3. I was braking too early, and too much for most sessions as I figured everything out.

I remember seeing your car at Tremblant. I was in the Black M2! My front driver's Re-71R is finished after 5 days there so I'm going to look into getting a dedicated set of square track wheels and tires. Good to know that 255/35 square is working out for you.

Ah yes! I know that car well as I think you lapped my student multiple times each session (he was in an S2000).

265/35R18 shouldn't be a problem on the FL-05 at 9.5", I've gone through 2 sets of RE71s in that size on my car. I didn't need spacers with stock suspension and camber plates, I was at -2.5 camber last year and -2.7 this year without any clearance issues. I'm getting 265/35R18 RS4s installed on Tuesday.

I was really struggling with the PFC08s, they are super noisy and grabby. I had used Pagid RS29 (yellows) which were also noisy and somewhat grabby but I can't really compare them very well as my skill level has changed quite a bit. I will almost certainly switch back to the Pagids for my next set and see how they perform.

That's a good way to describe the 08s -- they seem to be much more "grabby" on my M2 than the M3. OF course there is MUCH more braking surface and a much bigger caliper, so perhaps it is simply a function of much more contact at a much higher clamping force. I was able to run the 08s on my M3 on the street with little noise. But it doesn't seem possible on the M2. Fortunately it is almost painless to swap pads . . .

Ran this past weekend at Calabogie. Didn't flash euro MDM yet and the DSC in MDM was much better behaved vs Mosport. Very little intervention. I'll be back at Mosport in early September to give it another go.

Calabogie is a fun track for anyone who hasn't been- lots of blind corners, sticky tarmac and a cool town nearby

Are you changing your settings on the tckline plates between track and street? How much is that effecting your toe?

I'll be at Tremblant the 1st of August, 30th and 2nd of september, hope to meet any fellow Bimmerposters some day.

Seems we all are running similar setups, I am on Dinan HAS, Vorshlag Camber plates (-2.7C 0.04 total toe) with Cup 2 tires (oem wheels)

My friend Bryan is running M-Perf suspension, GC camber plates (-2 camber) and square set of RS4 tires on apex fl-5.

Any endurance/race pads will be noisy its juste the nature of it. I am running ferodo DS1.11 and love them. Rear pads will always wear faster using nannies/mdm

Surprisingly my PFC-08s were much better after I reinstalled them this week. I was at Calabogie, too, and they behaved much more like they did on my M3 -- though to be fair I also know that track much better than Tremblant.

It's likely I am becoming accustomed to the pedal feel on the M2.

I'm back to loving the PFCs . . .

Yes I'm changing. Good Q on toe. Have to get a record of my post camber plate install alignment to answer that

I'm asking because I will be doing the same. It looks like with my wheel/tire setup for track I'll need a pretty decent amount of camber. I also have the TC Kline plates. Was hoping I could go max camber for track, with a tiny bit of toe, and then adjust the plates back to either "stock" or the first position for street and get 0 toe as a result.

I tried -3 camber 0 toe and it was too darty on the street for my liking, even if its not a big difference, -2.7 and 0.02 toe on each wheel feels a lot more civilized

I was one of the LBB M2s at Calabogie this past weekend, it really is a fantastic track. It was my first time there, after a couple sessions to get familiar with the track then it was a ton of fun working to improve lines.

I also found the PFC08s much better at Calabogie, they were much less grabby and my braking was much smoother. I wasn't sure if the difference was simply an improvement in my braking or perhaps the bed-in process with the drive up to Calabogie helped (or maybe both). My front calipers have started changing colour on me now.

I leave my Vorshlag plates at -2.7/-2.2 all the time but I also don't put that many KM on other than driving to the track (it is my daily but I commute to work on the train). I saw pretty even wear on my Hankook RS4s and the amount of wear seemed pretty reasonable. I did scrub quite a bit of the rear tires, I was having a real fun time with rotating the car in Sport+ while usually still getting the power down pretty well.
