TPMS Threshold
Hi guys, I'm currently at the Nurburgring and am having annoying issues with the TPMS sensor.
It's very hot here at the moment and I am having to drop the pressures to around 24psi to see good pressure on track. But or course the TPMS kicks off when the tyres have cooled down and pressure drops. Won't allow Sport+ to be enabled and can't turn off DSC. Is there a way of coding in a lower threshold for the TPMS, something like 23psi would be ideal! If seen how to disable the TPMS via coding, but I want to avoid doing that as I am constantly looking at then tyre temps and pressure. Any ideas? Thanks

Wish I knew the answer, the TPMS has been the bane of my existence with the M2. I have trouble getting the right tire pressure every track day. I usually have to start ~ 28 to avoid being forced into comfort, but this of course turns into 39 hot on track. good luck.

This is a big problem with the M2 and I have tried to code the warnings away with no luck. So I try to keep the temps high when I track the car and dont take long brakes that results in locked comfort mode.
I will give the coding another try, and if I am not lucky I will give up TPMS. |

Set your tire pressures to 23psi and do a TPMS reset via the menu. It will complaint if you’re 15% lower than the 23 psi threshold then, but it won’t if you’re over. That way you can go Sport + or DSC off right away and it will stay that way when tires heat up and pressures go up.

Also I thought it had to stay in comfort during the reset period? |

The tyres are Michelin Cup2's, OEM sizes. Aiming for 36psi in the front and 33psi rear when hot. However, I have noticed that each set of tyres (same brand and series) behave differently. So what might work well for one set of Cup2's, might not necessarily work for the next set. I can tell you that small changes make big differences with this car and the Cup2's, finding the sweet spot can sometimes be difficult.

I tried it all, but finally gave up and removed TPMS and coded the car with euro M mode. I have over 50 track days since coding and have no issues on street or track. Even without TPMS it still warns if one tire gets too low compared to others.
