Euro highbeam coding via bimmercode?

Hi,

On my M2Comp i coded the euro high beams via the bimmer code following the directions that are in the attachment below.

I've followed the same directions for coding the CS, but I can't tell if its working properly. I was driving on the dark roads yesterday, and they seem to work a bit weird, and I had a lot of oncoming traffic flashing me.

Can anyone confirm that this is correct coding and that CS does in fact has the euro high beam option.

Are you talking about the anti-dazzle feature? I read up on enabling it and the consensus was that US cars don't have the hardware to fully support it.

its the feature that allows the highbeams to go around the cars in the front, and not dazzle the oncoming traffic.

Do you have a link on where its discussed? It seemed to have worked on my Comp.

It works fine on my car, but I've VO coded it with Esys. I recall there being a change in the July istep that required a couple more code adjustments if FDL coding, which would likely impact bimmercode.

I don't get flashed by oncoming drivers. The major difficulty seems to be when a car with dim taillights is in front and to the right of me while traveling multi lane in same direction. It will sometimes leave the the far right illumination on longer than it seems like it should. No idea if the driver sees it as being brightest. I don't ever see a light reflection in their rearview.

Just remember that this is not a common feature in the US and you will immediately be labeled an A-hole if poeple see your lights changing brightness behind them. They won't be "yep, his anti dazzle must be acting up. Poor guy, hate when that happens."

I've gone down this Anti-Dazzle rabbit hole too many times. Y'all can make up your own minds on hardware differences.
It is worth repeating again that even if the Anti-Dazzle doesn't perform well you can use it like high beams. When you feel it's safe to use it then activate it by using the Auto headlight button on the turn signal. When you don't want to chance using it then turn auto headlights off. With auto headlights off you can still activate the normal high beams by flicking the turn signal lever.

It's not perfect, but I think it works pretty darn well. I think a lot has to do with personal comfort tolerance of your lights flicking on/off while cars are in front of you. It's not a life changing feature. It seems to work as well in my CS as it does in my G05.
