Scratches on the cluster ¿Normal? !!!

Hello, I have seen in several forums in this M2 category about scratches on the instrument cluster with the black dials. I have another BMW car which the instrument cluster is different but has the same matte black material. I cleaned it once because it had a lot of dust accumulated with an ultra-soft paper tissue that I had in a package. I cleaned it with very little pressure and it left the painting full of scratches that are only visible when direct sunlight hits it. Is this normal? Have you given any solution?

I have used a microfiber cloth on mine with no problems.

Normal, and it literally can't be cleaned with ANYTHING but air.

Look closer, you've scratched it. There is no way to clean it without damaging the film using anything other than air.

It is definitely a problem with no solution for the LCI/M2C and probably some other BMW models (I have a M2C cluster in my OG so I don't physically touch it).

I also have the Live Cockpit Pro cluster (12.3" screen) on my 2022 G01 with a similar matte finish and it can be cleaned normally with no scratches, so it seems BMW has addressed this problem.

The speedometer is different but shares exactly the same matte black. I find it surprising how easily it scratches. I also ran my finger on it to remove a drop and it scratched even more in no other car have I had that problem. I think what scratches it is the dragging of dust particles. But I'm surprised that BMW uses these materials. I suppose that if it is that delicate, many people will have it completely scratched. The speedometer is like this:

My car is a 2019 320d, I guess the problem is not solved (BMW Live Cockpit Plus)

Yeah, I use a very similar product for cleaning the instrument cluster:

The important point is: air only. Once you get scratches, I don’t think there’s any reliable way to get rid of ‘em except by replacing the cluster itself.

Is it really that extremely fragile? So how would a sneeze be cleaned? It is very frustrating to have bought a car, gently wipe it with a paper tissue (paper is not the best material, but seeing it was soft, I used it) and scratch it all over.
I currently don't clean it because the dust somewhat hides the scratches.

Yes, it really is that fragile. Complete nightmare. Only use compressed air on it.

Mine's scratched. Bugs the heck out of me when the sunlight hits it just right and i see all the scratches. In most lighting it looks fine though, so thats a relief i guess.

I think theres people that make what are essentially big screen protectors for them, but i dont know if it works and looks good.

If they work, I have seen forums that put it on and hide it just as I have seen people who polish them, but I don't know if it is worse if the sun reflects a lot or seeing scratches. The thing that doesn't exist for mine is different but as I say the same matte black but different dials (G20 cockpit plus 2020).
Yes, when the direct sun shines on it it's sad and on top of that your eyes go there
