Those pics really show how different the color looks compared to Estoril Blue and Monte Carlo Blue.It is definitely quite a bit lighter.

Talking about blue Bimmers, in the last 4 years, I've had Silverstone II E90 M3 (ok this one is hardly blue but it is quite bluish), Monte Carlo X5M, Estoril II M135i, and Yas Marina M3. So Long Beach M2 may well be my next blue BMW! I just realise something. It would appear that I've been buying blue M cars only, because in the same time frame we've had a X3, X1, 7 series, 3 series and a 5 series. But they were white, grey, carbon black, bronze, and white! Weird.

I'm really digging it and think it looks much better than Yas Marina blue. Good choice BMW! Thank you for offering such a sweet looking blue on the M2!

This.

Go pull up an old e36 product brochure, there were some cool colors BMW M offered.

I agree with the e36 M palette. Some epic colours were offered there.
I for one, want a Dakar Yellow M2 if at all possible. I rate it could just be epic!

Dakar is a classic.
But the thing is, blue is a colour that is very "alive", depends on the lightning condition how it looks.
As with the X4 concept, it has got alot of fake light on it, and naturally it will look pale, compared to how it would look outside with less light on it.
I like the long beach blue, as blue is probably my favorite choice of colour BMW's.
Estoril blue on a E46 M is still my favorite to this day, stunning!

I've seen LBB in real life, and I can't believe how good it's going to look on the M2. Perfect character for it.

It's just such a deep color with lots of shades. A great description is Atlantis Blue mixed in with Estoril Blue.

If I got an M2, this would be way up my list. Also curious to see if they'll offer AY on it, as that might be the second choice.

I assure you it's bolder than anything apart from maybe YMB. It's something I'd imagine out of the Individual catalog personally.

Not all at the one time! I usually have 3-5 cars at any one time, but usually only two BMWs are my and my wife's daily drivers. The rest are usually toys.
