I just wished BMW would have stuffed a detuned S55 in there, and offered a sedan or Gran Coupe version, along with 200 lbs weight loss. I would have been drooling at that car. That's what would take me to skip the F80. P.S. Yea, if I ordered new, it'll definitely be cloth seats. Along with LED and HK as the only options.

Hello fellow Calgarian. I bought a 335i last year as a graduation gift to myself after finishing my Engineering degree. Now i am plannig on selling it to buy the M2 in near future.

I am gunna keep the 235 for a bit, I still love it and I could have bought an m3/4 instead if I wanted to but decided to work my way into things. I would like to pickup a new SUV before I get another car. |

Two twin-scroll turbos would not work on an inline 6. With the N55, three cylinders feed one scroll, and the other three cylinders feed the second scroll. With two twin-scrolls, you would somehow be piping 6 cylinders into four scrolls which obviously is not ideal. You could potentially have three twin-scroll turbos with an I6 though, with each cylinder feeding its own scroll.

M division did do something about the throttle response on the M4 with the use of tiny turbos. i hope that they would do the same with the m2 and minimize turbo lag. on the n20's there is no turbo lag because the turbos are so small
i really don't care what the engine is as long as it gets the m treatment. big power, big handling, instant throttle response, aggressive looks. you guys are crazy if you think almost 400 hp in that little car is not enough. |

* cloth seating (option) * manual seats (option) * moonroof delete (option) Taken together that's probably 100+ pounds of weight savings right there. I also want fixed damipers as an option because I don't want to pay to replace the electronic ones in 100K miles. If the Cayman can come with fixed dampers, the M2 should also.

if you want 0-60 and 1/4 times, why don't you just save up for a hellcat charger or a gt350 mustang. the 2 series is better than the CLA and S3. if the S3 / CLA had 500 hp, the 2 series would still be more balanced and it'd just feel different. and i'm sure plenty of people here wouldnt care and would still go bmw. I used to own an A4 quattro. its stable, it feels solid, but its no where near as fun. i want fun, not a drag slip |

I really think they had to do way more than what they have been doing... Jeremy's B-team theory is really sounding more correct after seeing what MB has in their sleeves.. the new C... CLA 45...

The argument of the MB and Audi and even the Golf 7R being better than the M235i (agree its not the best of badges) is only relevant in 1 factor; straight line speed, 0-100 times.
So if that's what you after, that's where you should be looking. Whereas; Driver's car: BMW>others Track Ability: BMW>others RWD: BMW>others Fun Factor: BMW>others Doesn't make you look like a complete unimaginative twat that only drives in straight lines: BMW>others Drifting: BMW>others The Mustang may be able to deliver a similar visceral experience, but couldn't forgo the all-round superiority of the BMW ///M Division for a shovel. 4WD and DSG is boring as %&*#! That is a FACT! Even when modded they feel boring, they just make more noise and the needle moves quicker. "Aaah come for a ride, watch how quickly the needle moves" |

The image shows no air-breather and the rear looks very similar to the MSport with quad exhausts. Perhaps not final production, but at least the fender flares are evident.
