But dude, check it out: I can take the X6M, tow the M2 on a trailer, and run both of them in the same day. |

Based on the numbers, the N55 in the M2 seems to be a better tuned N55; not far off the numbers from an N55 + JB4 (or Cobb). I'm sure most would have preferred to see a detuned version of the S55. I'm hoping some of the parts from the new N55 will fit the older N55s.

BMW.... On the M5.
Just saying, those look like 19s. If they come standard with 30 series tires, it would be a bit of a letdown. That is not enough sidewall to allow proper roll. Seems doubtful though. The M4 comes with 18s standard and 40 series sidewalls. |

I'm not one into comparing 1M, M2 M3/4 etc and really do not want to start any such discussion but I'm noticing increased number of 335 and M3 owners showing keen interest in M2 across boards (compared to 1M days). If remotely correct, I'm guessing it's related to size of M3/M4? cos they are otherwise awesome.

Given that the M2 is two years out, I'd say stick with the M235i and swap 'em out in late 2016 or early 2017.

Have a 228i m sport on order for my wife and when we test drive it, the car felt solid, planted and way more fun. I'll wait it out to see what the M2 will deliver otherwise 981 cs is in my future. I have a slight interest in the M4 since it's a freakin monster for the money, but I keep wondering if I'll be happy with bigger, and bigger and bigger damn cars! Ugh I just got a headache lol...

Just sayin.
The timing is really going to work out for us early M235 adopters too, should we want to get one. I'm really excited about this car. I DO wonder if the M235 goes away when this is produced - I might be wrong, but are there M performance models in the 3,4,5, or 6 series ? I don't think so - and my guess is that is because there's true M cars in those lines. Maybe the M-performance will stick to lines where there isn't a true M at the top. Will be interesting to see...

So is the M2 going to be a limited production model? I sure hope not.
