Flapper down! Hit some kind of debris

Driving in town like 35mph and ran over something heavy like a tire iron. Bounced around hitting every inch of the floor. Turned around to fimd it, but nothing there. Took a look around today and found this. How tough to fix?

The pins and plastic you see are out of the actual controller. I think the harness plug is fine. Need to replace the controller I think.

Super easy fix. For M2C, the valve controller should be part number 18307851568

I think you’re right once I blow up the picture and see the damaged controller.

Yeah, picked up a controller from BMW locally and swapped them out. 3 bolts, little heatshield and plugging it in. Pretty easy. One thing is the flap might be in a different orientation than then new controller so to get it to seat all the way you may need to turn the flapper shift with finger to line it up.

I’m glad you’re able to fix the valve. You are super lucky whatever you hit didn’t punch a hole in the oil cooler with the way you described it hitting the floor.
