I wonder where all these parts are fitted... Is BMW going to ask dealers to install a carbon roof and those side panels at the front wheels?

I will honestly delay my production slot if I have to opt it all from factory. Let me ask my contacts and let's see what they say.

Don't the M4 and M2C weigh nearly the same??

Most likely pretty close but the difference is in chassis layout and vehicle dimensions/size that impacts dynamics

Say someone gets every single add on we see here plus options like exec pack... we are likely talking $85k plus... the question is then "is it worth m3/m4 money?"

For the same money i would take a fully loaded M2C all day. You'd basically be getting an M4 in a smaller package with a slightly less fancy interior.

These M Performance Parts are available: front splitter in carbon fibre, kidney grille in carbon fibre, air breather side bars in carbon fibre (right/left), exterior mirror caps in carbon fibre, door sill finisher in carbon fibre, side skirt extensions in carbon fibre, rear diffusor in carbon fibre, rear spoiler in carbon fibre. Even the M Performance engine cover under the bonnet is made of this high grade carbon fibre material.

This is the strength of this program. You opt what you like, but at least BMW sells it and not some aftermarket partner... Smart move from BMW M.

Now we only need to wait for color matching parts, a roll cage and US reflector replacing kits and the aftermarket world is out of business... lol just kidding.

Yes I would delay my production slot as well. Please ask.

If the dealer/bodyshop will undergo the carbon fiber roof replacement I would probably pass. But If the carbon fiber roof is installed at the factory on the production line than count me in!

I will certainly delay build time if it means factory installed parts. I park my cars in late October - April anyways. I can wait a "few" more months

Tbh, I am sceptic, but my gut instinct is only some will be available aftermarket, the rest such as the roof and side panel replacement will all be available only when you order the vehicle, I hope I'm wrong.

I am guessing that all these MP parts will be installed after-sale, at the dealer... They wouldn't offer it as an "accessory" if they were factory "check-box" options..
