I thought the midpipe left the stock resonator and only deleted secondary cats. Your video shows resonator gone. I may pull trigger on this if it deletes everything.

Disconnected the exhaust valve while open to grab a cold start video with it open. Usually when turning on the car the valve closes seconds after startup.

AA seems to be the winning setup for the S55. Sounds great.

I agree, can't get enough of this combo.

So many people in person love the sound! It's intoxicatingly good

Totally agree! The longer I wait the more I'm leaning towards the AA Signature.

AA mid pipe purchased
Keeping everything else stock and will be having the muffler painter at the same time. Also having a Litchfield Stage 1 remap done at the same time as the AA mid pipe fitted

Really going back and forth between the AA and Remus exhausts. On the one hand the AA is a full catback for a similar price but I am nervous that it will drone, I also like the look of the Remus tips more.

Has anybody seen/heard both Remus and AA in person that has a recommendation on which way to go?

A buddy of mine works at a BMW dealership in NorCal.. Someone bought an M2C a few months ago from them and had the Remus exhaust installed immediately.

Well 2 weeks ago, the owner had the exhaust uninstalled because it sounded so god-awfully shitty.

My buddy thought it sounded awful also..

Well that's a good anecdote, I really wish I could just hear them myself before deciding ):

Enjoy man! I finally took mine out on some real driving roads this weekend and had an absolute blast pushing the car hard. Can't wait until it's broken in and I can take it to redline.

I was pretty disappointed with the sound though, it is not a bad sound at all but it's kind of quiet which became extremely obvious after I caught a Corvette and Lexus RCF who both sounded absolutely epic in comparison.

Hoping an aftermarket exhaust will fix that!

hey BAN_M2C, thanks for your input and videos!

i just ordered the AA mid + rear yesterday and the wait is already too difficult...

very excited though! im trying to hold off on the dp and tune at the moment, so really hoping the catback will be enough sound for now... just hoping itll be loud enough to my standards lol...

Try the mid first and see if that gives you enough!

My old M2 was pretty loud and my daily 135i also, so I had to go full out with the M2 Competition to make it rip nicely.

Bit more tame at startup, might be the stock DME programming. But after 4k RPM this one screams much louder. Overall this one is much more aggressive sounding.

Yes I'm sure it's louder but as far as sound goes is it deep or near to the OG M2 or does it still sound Ricey at high rpm

In my case it's just as deep but the trick is having a single Midpipe all the way to the muffler just like the N55 had.
