Anyone else frustrated with the tuning of our cars? Like we can’t run e85 on our stock fuel pumps has been a major Debbie downer on these cars, m2 comp has the seats and s55 and I love the m2 but as far power goes it’s like I want more power, in Rk tuned rn I’m maxed out on my tune and still wish I had m4 tuning capability
It’s frustrating

It's a matter of power goal and budget. If you're happy with M4 stock turbo performance, you can do fueling and turbo upgrade for 5~6k inc. labor to get close to it.

Anything above that, trade in for a S55 car.

I know some people that did port injection or a fuel pump upgrade

It just sucks that Bmw didn’t give an m2 a good fueling system to run e85,
Not a fan of s55 when everyone has them
But I do like how they pull up top

U don’t feel like the m2 is slow even with a tune?

Yes but many of us knew this going in but still got the car for the driving experience. Yes i am frustrated but it is a super great car. You can safely run 3.75 gal of E85 for E32...actually even a little bit more but not much. I am installing the VRSF race IC this week and will see what kind of numbers I get with tolerable IAT's

@m2ruder

So your saying I can run like 2 gallons of e85?

Would it be smart to upgrade with an inter cooler for or cars

I’m making 394 and 466 to the wheels rn

I feel like 450-470 would be perfect for our cars

What do you have done to yours to be making those numbers? With a E30 tune you can run 3.75 gal

No IC upgrade? Also am assuming it is a 93 tune? Do you remember the ambient temp when you dyno'd?

Correct. Colder climate will probably help. Depending on how the tune is done, since the car targets load, hotter climate will mean more boost to achieve target load, and depending on how borderline aggressive the tune it may cause the car to run too much boost for the fuel & conditions it has...

Not just the extra tables... but it's the rom logic that the M2 has vs regular N55's.

A more appropriate map for EWG cars that want a baseline M2 / N55T0 car performance is a modified X4 M40i file with some changes to be more appropriate for a lighter car.

What did your car make stock ?

393whp is more than a stock m4 so you should be able to drive around m2's bigger brothers with decat / RK tune

Quick Question:
M2 Gas tank Capacity:13.7Gallons
Is is okay to add 2 gallons E85 mix with shitty CA 91pump gas for the rest in order to run Stage 2 OTS 91 map safe and smooth? (enough to clear knocks or timing pull)
Run till low tank and do the same every time.

FBO for stage 2 btw
Stock Fuel system.
Stock ignition system.
CSF Intercooler
FTP charge pipe+boost pipe
MST Inlet
Full MPE + Fabspeed Sport catted DP
Turbosmart DV BOV
No tune for now.

Appreciate for the advice!

I saw B58 got the best target of 17degree ignition timing at 6500rpm, what is the best for M2 then?
