'17 M2 bolt-ons and BootMod3 dyno results!

Hey everybody, first post. Thought you guys might want to look at my graphs from my first dyno on the car over at European Auto Source.

First off, big shout out to the guys at SSR Performance who pretty much put together all my stuff, and ProTuningFreaks (bootmod3)! I had a lot of questions and both were great at helping me out, so thanks guys.

Background on my car, it's a '17 LBB M2 DCT, pretty much full bolt on minus the exhaust. I'm using the Active Autowerke stepped IC, Dinan intake, Evolution Racewerks catless downpipe and their charge pipe, and Fuel It!'s LPFP and Port Injection kit. Was using full e85 but didn't like the MPG so I plan on sticking to e50 for now.

Anyways on to the good stuff. Temperature was a little warmer today in Southern California in the low 70s. I was going to take video of the car on the dyno but I forgot I actually needed to use my phone to log using bootmod3, so sorry I don't have any pics or video of the car getting dyno'd.
Here's a picture though of the graph:

420 WHP, 458 TQ Port Injection e50 FBO minus exhaust, stock turbo

With my setup I could go more aggressive with the tune and prob get close to 450 whp but I don't want to stress everything with the extra heat everything will make.

My plans now are probably to go with a Pure Stage 2, but I'm still on OEM wheels so I might go with an 18" wheel setup, maybe some Volk wheels. The car definitely feels fast but I already feel like I could always use more power . Thanks again to SSR Performance, ProTuningFreaks (thx Dzenan) and European Auto Source for the dyno.

No, unfortunately. I think other people that dyno'd there with a stock m2 were getting 340ish WHP but I didn't ask about too much details other than looking at their graphs. I think I saw one with 350 whp but I'm not sure what was on the car.

i think the 357whp was me w/ just the akra exhaust.

those are some pretty damn good numbers w/ just bolt on's and a tune.

Dang 357 hp to the wheel with just an exhaust is pretty good! I honestly didn't think there were that much gains to be had doing just exhaust. Was that with just exhaust and no tune?

@FSociety Thx man, I actually seen a lot of your youtube stuff. Cool content!

Exactly what I was thinking lol. Soooo I guess that means it's a race for whoever can finish their build first

Guessing even with ethanol at your power range the stock turbo is pretty much done unless you wanna go numbers chasing. Nice curve, Im sure the car is plenty more fun.

I just dont wanna go with port injection and I have similar mods as you and an machining my own turbo inlet pipe. Cant see spending $150 on pure's when its much cheaper to make. Do you think the inlet pipe would have freed up more HP?

First issue with the N55s is fueling, second stock intercooler. We also think the inlet pipe is a great upgrade, slowing down shaft speed on the turbo which in turn makes it more efficient and possibly provides more gains. We'd love to see the inlet pipe on a setup like this, just a bolt-on affair and redyno to see if the gains are there even at these 16.5-17psi boost levels. I have a feeling we'd see another 15-20 from it.

OP, you mixed 91+e85 right?
If so, then there would be some more gains with 93+e85 for those wondering.

This is proper setup. Could easily push that up but this would still retain drivability. I also like that torque isn't 560 or something like a more aggressive EWG tune. Easier on the drivetrain components

Cheap and easy enough, but I think I'm going to do it when I put the PS2 in. Off subject but how does your car feel now with the PS2? Is the turbo response the same, or are you noticing any lag?

FSociety I did have a 50/50 blend of 91 and e85. Honestly after running e50 and over, I thought e50 would give me considerable more gas mileage but I'm still taking a decent hit to my MPG (could also be im smashing the pedal more :P). I don't mind but when I was on full e85 I was getting like 130ish miles to the tank but the car felt really good with the extra octane especially at higher rpms. E50 seems like a pretty good compromise though, especially compared to shitty 91.

Our hp numbers are very similar, our torque numbers are very different. I don't notice any lag. The boost does hit hard but it's over a 500rpm range.. feels like a quick ramp with AWESOME sounds. It FEELS like full boost by 3.5k. With 565lb of torque gears 2 and 3 disappear very quickly. 4th gear doesn't really slow down until 5k+... it might actually be mostly air drag that I'm feeling because that's over 100mph. It's a little tough comparing the car to stock, because it was only stock, after the break in service for about 450 miles... then in one magical night at SSR Performance it went from completely stock to where it sits now. I will say this, I have zero regrets and have had zero scary mechanical issues with the engine-tranny-diff. Where I'm getting stuck is whether to do the back half of the build that you just finished. I honestly am not sure I need or want my car to pull even harder than it does now. I've always enjoyed powering through the 40-90mph twisties a lot more than the straightaways that allow me to go 120+. I'm stuck between wanting to finish off my build, and actually being plenty happy with the cars current drive ability+performance.
