Just $275 for what Norcalmav23?

BTW BM3, I'll be doing the following setup with BM3 here shortly

Custom exhaust
Custom turbo inlet pipe
ER downpipe,IC, chargepipe
DV+
Stock turbo

So we'll see what it produces...I figure its all bolt ons and a tune and I have everything already here except to make my inlet and exhaust which should be in about a week or two. Nice when you own a machine shop and you can save $$$ on a few over priced things. Going to make a FabSpeed, no can style exhaust. We made one for the 1M and it was wonderful.

That's a really awesome setup OP! Power is so smooth! Those guys really know what they're doing and your hardware is definitely putting down the numbers. Congrats!

The Pure inlet pipe which goes from the intake to the actual turbo. Looks like you're getting a custom one though so you should be alright. Solid mod list, enjoy

FSociety I did have a 50/50 blend of 91 and e85. Honestly after running e50 and over, I thought e50 would give me considerable more gas mileage but I'm still taking a decent hit to my MPG (could also be im smashing the pedal more :P). I don't mind but when I was on full e85 I was getting like 130ish miles to the tank but the car felt really good with the extra octane especially at higher rpms. E50 seems like a pretty good compromise though, especially compared to shitty 91.
The octane equivalent of e50 is around 103, right? That's what my "research" says, anyway. How big of a power gain is 12 octane points worth?

I don't think you get much power out of going full E85 vs E50. PTF any thoughts?

Im just making their metal pipe and cutting my oem piece. Thats all they do. That metal pipe they make is not worth $150. It is a $12 piece if you can weld and have the resources which we do here. The rest of their pipe is just a cut oem piece. No biggie, I'll cut my stock one.

Fueling is working out to be the most single expensive thing and Im going to stay away from that as long as I can. I dont wanna run ethanol either, so methanol will be my go to if I choose to add.

I don't know. I never take octane readings of the e85 I put into my car, I only use the ethanol analyzer I got when I bought my Fuel it PI kit. I don't know how much gains it gave either, as that dyno I took was the first dyno I've ever done on the car, which is on the e50 blend.

@mtwo again, don't have concrete numbers but on full e85 my car feels like it pulls a lot harder on the higher RPMs. Not sure if I felt anything different torque wise but who knows, I'm using a butt dyno. Car definitely pulls a lot harder at the top end but you take a pretty big hit to your MPG. My last full tank of pure e85 I literally got about 125 miles to the gallon. Granted I was pushing it a lot but even still that's pretty ridiculous. I just came back today from the one day M school over at the BMW performance center (WHAT A BLAST!) and on e50 I pretty much got about 220 miles or so to the tank (almost all highway driving however).

I have a feeling we'd see another 15-20 from it.
I can do that when the time comes. Im expecting 10-15whp at my power level with mods. Pure has tested their pipe already and it shows about 18whp after 400whp, but Im thinking it wont matter after about 15psi, gains to be had all around from more efficient flow.

I don't know how much of a gain it is with the inlet but after upgrading my turbo, I was struggling with boost and it turned out my missing piece was the inlet. I did it last week and my god it made such a difference! Definitely a must do. The damn spoolup now sounds totally different. I love it.

I've also decided to do the ER TIC charge pipe and I'll have a complete all aluminum charge air system.

You're in Florida I would do Front Mount Intercooler before exhaust, with the downpipe alone your exhaust tone will be MUCH improved. Plus M2 comes with a nice factory improved/sounding exhaust.

Yeah I definitely agree. I already have the ER FMIC and all their pipes for it as well. Those will be going on shortly. Just designed my inlet pipe today in solidworks and should have it machined and welded this week.

As far as exhaust goes, Im still going to do one because i can literally make what I want for about 500. I could care less about flaps, etc. Im make an exhaust similar to one Ive made for the 1M. No can, no resonator, just piping. It will simply be a machined oval flange that mates to the stock piping on the car then be mandrel bent piping without any real restrictions from there. May put on 2 small resonators, similar to Fabspeed but probably not. The weight savings will be nice too. One thing that many dont realize is the oval piping is quite expensive and I was surprised when I saw it on the car to say the least. I'll post some pics as I go in a separate thread as Im open to ideas and criticism and helping others if they are interested in some of these things.

Congrats! and thanks for the review keep it coming

PS.. Could you try to get a Baseline when you go back to Dyno?
Also, the graph should be auto-scale so it can display the line appropriately.

I don't think I'll do a baseline. I'm FBO plus I'll most likely be going in with e50 so it won't be a real baseline. On top of the bolt ons I have port injection also so I don't see how the baseline would be of much use, especially with e50 in the tank.

You can still do a baseline with your FBO parts, it'll just serve as your FBO baseline. I have a friend (posting his dyno) who was FBO, PS2, PI with e60 and did a baseline after his pulls.

Doesn't hurt to have one

Well done Jaydoski For those of us not lucky enough to have access to E85, what do you think the numbers would look like with a BM3 tune?
