Now, I see here that plenty of you lucky folks have gotten a call from their dealers in the last few days, but not me. I called the dealer, and no response yet? Is it possible that the dealer has NOT gotten thei allocation by now? Thank you in advance and congratulations to all of those who have been contacted!

The dealership I purchased mine from asked me to fill out a deposit form around the time I placed the order in September. They never charged my credit card until the day I took delivery in January.

I think it just depends on the dealership.

for what its worth I am also waiting for BMW to confirm my ED since last week. I am in somewat regular contact with my SA (bugging him about the individual paint, if i could get my ED in may, then if i could change it to july and so on) but he has not gotten back to me about the confirmation from BMW yet. I guess they are just waiting for reply from Munich.

Finally have my production number! Supposedly hearing on my ED date confirmation tomorrow. Hoping to pick up last week in April
Quite the suspense since I put my request in October '18. Had to do ED though and did not want to pick up during the winter months...still very excited.

Have an Alpine White M2C with confirmed production number as well and still waiting on an ED date. I have been told by the BMW ED specialist at BMWUSA in NJ that they cannot schedule any MY20 M2C's for ED until the pricing is released. So unless the pricing is coming out tomorrow (I hope so), then we most likely won't get any confirmed ED dates.

I received my 2020 allocation number as well. Seeing the car in the tracker is like getting your Cadbury advent calendar at Christmas...

Went to my dealership and claimed the last allocation spot yesterday (out of 2 total) for a 2020 M2C. Now the wait begins...

That's who I've had an allocation with since Oct/Nov '18, they only got one allocation and gave it away to someone else? At which point I moved on. Midlothian BMW isn't much further and had 2 allocations and honored the 5% ED, they should still have one allocation. Ask for Roshan

Seems like a lot of the dealerships got 2 allocations, all slated for March build weeks. I'm curious if there will be more allocations coming up for April-May build weeks, or if this is it for this quarter.

Also, oddly enough no one has a clue as to the final updated pricing, lol!

Hi Folks,

In a pickle currently. I received my build date as Week 12 yesterday, but this totally defeats the purpose of ED for me as my son is in school and I wanted to experience this with he and my Wife in June. Judging by past delivery times I was hoping that the February allocation would give a build date about 3 months from now, not right away! What are my options at this time?

Thanks in advance!

Did you tell your CA that you wanted to do ED? They should have changed your production priority status to R - Tourist Reserved instead of 1 - Customer Sold. If it's Customer Sold, they'll start allocating the build week immediately.

If they haven't built your car and it gets updated to ED, they'll probably swap around production so yours will get produced later. If they have, they might hold the car for a few months.

I think you can call the ED specialist in NJ and ask for a date change. She was able to move my ED from a November allocation and build to an August build and a September ED. They just need to get a slot approved in Munich, which I believe is just a technicality.

I received my production number/info a couple of days ago but neither it showed nor does my dealer know when it is scheduled for production. Is that typical? Others seem to know their production date when they get their number.

You can call BMW and figure out the build week using your production number.

I really want to do an ED on a M2C, but not able to find any dealerships willing to do that. Please let me know if anyone has any recommendations. I guess anywhere in the country is fine if I also do a performance track delivery? or I can pay for shipping from the dealer to me.

I know some people here had a great experience dealing with a Texas dealership for ED. I don't recall which though. Anyone know?

Classic BMW in Plano did mine. No issues for me, but I'm a long term customer there, YMMV. Robin McCormick has been my SA through 4 cars and 10 years.

thank you guys for the information, I will call the dealerships and try my luck. Any idea if ED on the 2020 model still has the 5% discount on sticker price?

As far as I know, the BMW European Delivery terms and conditions have not been changed. So I would assume the 5% discount still applies.

Hi, I have been lurking for awhile now doing some research and also waiting to hear back from my SA. I just got an email back from him stating that they still don't have the final pricing but believes that $500 is a safe bet for the MY2020 price bump. The purchase order he sent also reflected the estimated $500 increase. He did not mention any changes or new paint options that he knew of but I am setting up a phone call with him later this week to inquire more (PLEASE IMOLA RED!!!). He is hoping that the final pricing and guides will be published by the end of the month.

I have been following the development of the M2 since I had to sell my E46 325Ti when I moved to a different half of the world. That was my first BMW and I loved it and wanted an E46 M3 ever since! With the price of them now on the upswing and all the money needed to make them right, it seems as though I may as well go with the M2C. I was nervous about spending this amount of money (I am a cheap '90's Nissan guy) on what will probably be my first and only new car. I finally got to test drive a MY2018 M2 at my local dealership, it was a DCT but still covered me in goosebumps and filled me with butterflies! I didn't get to unleash it unfortunately as traffic was nearing rush hour.

In the mean time I am waiting for my tax return to come in and hear from my financial counsellor before pulling the trigger on this.

Dumb question, does any of the Bimmercode meddling; full screen, amber indicators, rear fog, etc, void the warranty?

Thanks for the help and I'll be sure to pass on any updates I get!
