Can I ask about the Litchfield suspension. Did you go for the bilstien road setup? Is there a significant difference in ride quality over the stock setup? I've an un modified manual M2 OG and keen to know if it's a good upgrade. Thanks

My Litchfield kit is the AST kit, they stopped selling it and moved to Bilstien as the supply was not great (too long and sometimes incorrect) but the kit was good

Im very happy with it an have the -ve camber hubs and not top mounts to get front camber. I hated the Miltek top mounts

Suspension was one of my last mods, but, on experiencing it, I wished it had been the first. Definitely recommend it.

I too have the AST kit (on OG m2) . I suspect that the specs of all the Litchfield kits is the same/thereabouts, regardless of the shock manufacturer - they invested alot into developing the first kit, so they'd just copy that.

What splitter / diffuser are you running?

I have carbon CS spoiler and small wingless on the side and front, but feel that a diffuser and full splitter would complete the exterior for me.

I have the autoid m performance style diffuser and had the r44 Performance style splitter.

This one

https://www.r44performance.com/produ...rbon-fibre-f87

The car is in just now getting painted I cracked the front splitter I'm putting the m performance winglets back on

To be honest the quality of the front splitter wasn't great had to trim to fit and it went cloudy and dull after few months I would get the autoid version

Story so far...

Started with Milltek rear plus their 200cell hi-flow mid cats in place of OPF (I knew I want to decat DPs at some time, but knew I was going to need CATs for MOT and was keeping the car).

Sold milltek rear as by then I was a regular on the burgeoning US equal length discussions (before this was picked up by manufacturers).

I got my own EL rear made by a local exhaust shop using standard rear section, 2 separate inline resonators and bit of nifty pipe bending to keep clearance around the suspension - all mated to Milltek hi flow mid cats, great at BM3 stage 1 map.

No knocks or clunks either.

Then had Litchfield decat DPs fittedand went to stage 2 BM3 map.

It's too loud with DPs on so I just took the exhaust valve fuses out so they stay closed 100% and it sounds just great for me. Deep, smooth, a lovely snarly E46-esque rasp 3.5 to 4.5k on heavier throttle then clears up and screams to top end...

Flew its 1st MOT last nov too (I took it for pre-mot check and it failed with a map on as it fails the fast idle emissions test on high hydrocarbons). Interestingly it also fails on stock map on sport+ again on high hydrocarbons.

Stock map / eco mode passed no bother.

Might try 100cell cat DPs and then go for AA EL system next year, we'll see...

AA EL is Active Autowerks Equal length system.

Ekotec? Not sure, do you mean Ecutek? They're a mapping / ecu software company.

Yes, apologies EcuTek, I have been considering a Litchfield Map on my non comp M2 (2018 last version), any views I have the Litchefield AST suspension and would really be doing it for improved response and crisp running rather than absolute power. I would also like the car to sound a little better, so have been thinking about a DINAN exhaust as I like the straight forward looking rear black pipes and trust DINAN

Thoughts appreciated
