Burnt front rotors
Hi, has anyone solved the burnt front discs? Of course, they told me on the complaint that it is not possible. (at the same time, I didn't fool around with them anywhere or somehow slow down normal traffic, but that's what everyone tells them 😆.)
When I said that I would give some other than the original ones, they told me that the warranty on all the parts around the front wheels would be void. Does anyone have any experience? Thank you 22 thousands km. |

My best translation of your post is that you’re frustrated with how long your stock brake pads lasted and also frustrated the dealer didn’t want to install aftermarket pads you brought with you.
Needing a new set of pads after 13,000 miles does seem surprising. What’s not surprising is the dealer bit. That’s not how they work. You don’t bring a random steak with you to a restaurant and BMW dealers don’t want you bringing random pads. It’s not their business model. My advice is if you’re dissatisfied with the dealer experience you work on the car yourself. The you can swap to any part you want without arguing with some poor service manager. Either that or find an independent you can work with. Good luck. |

I track my M2C a fair amount. Maybe 15 times a year. I run after market Ferodo pads. I have no heat related issues with the Rotors. The last at least a year even under heavy use.
The only Issue I have is that they are actually relatively fragile when not mounted and its easy to knock them to where they have too much run out and then vibrate alot. |

Humming noise is perfectly fine.
Your rotors don't even have cracks, meaning they haven't really been pushed near the limit, these marks you call "burnt" are just pad deposit on the surface of the rotor. This will not be fixed under warranty, as it shouldn't. And if fixed, the same will happen again. And if you install Girodisc, the same will happen a 3rd time. Here is a picture of my "new" (3.000km old) discs, have been to the track twice. |
