It's not used on the M2C, but does fit. So some have and some haven't.

Yet to see some at a price I like though.

HTH
Both parts aren't used or either one is and the other isn't I at least ordered tower strut reinforcement for both left and right.

Well, I was referring to the reinforcement rings. There's nothing to attach the other items to, so little point in fitting them.

Unfortunately you have to pull the springs out and replace top hats. I was a bit surprised by this as well but I did it on my own first time ever messing with suspension. I followed a YouTube vid of a dude taking his off an M2 and it worked great. All in all I think it is worth it. The car is really ridged now. I can jack up one front side and the other wheel comes off the ground!

I believe the below are all the parts needed to do the M3/M4 F8x Carbon Fiber Strut Mod on our M2's.

Hex Bolt - 11-28-7-839-136 x 6
Guide Sup - 31-30-7-853-702 x 2
Hexagon S - 094C3 - 07-11-9-904-141 x 6
Torx Screw - 31-10-6-859-809 x 10
Fillister - 07-14-7-162-464 x 2
CFRP strut front end 1EA : 51618061631
Alloy Strut brace (left steering) 1EA : 31122284855

The tricky part was hoping that the eventuri carbon fiber air intake would fit.

Jesse my mechanic took the hold out and reversed the bolt on top to make it fit nice and tight put some padding under the high points that would touch or potentially rub.

All in nice and tight and looking good.

Some cutting was needed on the cover and some trim pieces

More pictures to come.
Is the guide support easy enough to swap, what does install look like? A little worried about touching suspension components do I need to use a jack to slowly release the spring down?

You need a jack, but it's more a case of undoing the top nut on the strut and the bolts for the top hat, lifting the car so that the strut comes out of the top hat, swapping the top hats, bolting the new one in place, then carefully lowering the car while guiding the strut and top of the spring back into the new tops hat.

Once it's back on the ground you fit a new top nut to the strut.

This approach works for springs too.

The newer strut tower brace (31127855855) is also showing on the M235i racing and M4 GTS

Anyone know if the 41008417085 strut brace (U shaped one) used on the M235i racing is also carbon fiber or some other material?
Do you just need the gasket for the reinforcement plate? I have heard some glue may have been used to hold it down from factory with the M3/M4.

I traded up to a M2C before doing this. So sorry I don't know?

What drill bits are required for removal? Suspension plate nut, original brace(etorx)?

What bits did you need to remove the OG stuff? 18mm 12 point socket and what about the original strut brace screw?
Read the 1st link in the 1st post in this thread. Tells you all you need to do this upgrade

New Brace(s)

I have now driven with the upgraded Aluminum and Carbon Fiber strut tower braces in installed for a week ... so I thought I would add my observations here.
With a little help from Nezil/Neil (OK, he really made it happen)...I now have the aluminum and carbon fiber braces where there was a relatively unimpressive steel brace system. This had an immediately apparent impact...kind of a cake and eat it too situation, the steering became even quicker, more planted feeling with less "noise" ....AND....more supple. It really feels that it is the way it is 'supposed to be"....Please note: this is not a massive change, but a more subtle but immediately obvious upgrade.
In an attempt to quantify this subjective change I would say the steering "quickness" improved by 15% improved (and I have Ohlins), the "planted" /less noise in the front suspension improvement was 20% and as far as improving ride quality I would also give a 15% improvement. So I would say it was worth the approx $2K investment so for those with a M2 OG or LCI I would give this a solid thumbs up!!!
PS The Dinan CAI did not fit so reverted back to stock, it sounds like it will fit if you leave the angle braces in, but then it may contact hood...we opted to revert for now...more on that later.

You'll appreciate it more with more time at the wheel I know I did. It's sort of noticeable subtle if that makes sense. Actually I'd lean more toward plain noticeable than subtle.

How's everyone dealing with this second line. When I secure the top side down I'm worried about snapping or damaging the line.

Installed this 10mm rivnut with a special tool. I needed to remove 4 screws to be able to pull the fender back to fit the tool in.

It's a rivnut. I'm not sure if you need a rivnut tool or can just press it in by hand/mallet.

You will need to set it in place using a nut and bolt plus a couple of washers.

Yes - remove that plastic retaining clip and put the rubber bush back in the hole in the intake.
