Dunno but think that will be too loud and catless doesn't net you much apart from wrecking the planet that bit faster?

Agreed. Not to mention smell and a dirty rear bumper. If you're determined to wring out as much sound as possible, just go with a sport cat. They're almost as loud and they flow very well. No good reason to go full catless unless you're running a big turbo and you're running into boost creep.
