If ever there was a troll, it's you, thinking they're better than someone else because of the brand of car they drive. I'm not a kid. I'm 39. I'm just sick of people like you who bought a BMW because they think it's the cats meow, and nothing else should ever be considered, despite the fact they've never even driven the car they're bashing. |

By contrast, my SA knows I track, I show him videos and never BS my way for warranty repairs if I damage or wear something out at the track. In return, they never question my stories. With my CA, we share track videos - he's an instructor.

That's certainly one opinion.

Why not be concerned about looks? I pay attention to the engineering big time, but if the cars looks like crap (in my opinion of course) and decide between the two based on the looks that makes me a badge snob? C'mon... The look of the car is very important, is the element that triggers emotions. While these cars are comparable from some points of view, why not narrow down to design, look, amenities, materials, etc; some folks are looking at residual values for example. Except I am using the car to move trees, I do care how it looks. For me is equally important and it plays a huge role in my choice; buying a car is an emotional decision. To compare the tech specs has a point, to call somebody badge snob for his perception is wrong. De gustibus non est disputandum. |

M2 is a hog. The numbers show it. If RS is this close to M2 it is just as close to M4 and maybe even better on technical tracks. Kudos to Ford. BMW M needs a complete revamp. Next one coming up around corner ... Hyundai

Yes a BMW is "better" than a Ford in so many ways but this comparison is not talking about "getting laid factor". It is a trac vs trac comparison. Hell my 1990 mustang had 375 rear wheel hp(after a shit ton of wrenching)and I could dust every corvette on the street. I could say "stupid corvette guy got dusted by a mustang", which was true but he could say I have a nice $$$ corvette vs your econo mustang.
Yes who would not prefer a BMW to a Ford but that is not the object of the review. It is performance. For the record I have a e90 (which I track), a X5 50 and a Ford F-150 so I am a blue oval and blue "propeller" fan.

I thought cars like the M2 and RS was built for performance, but it seems many Bimmerpost members buy cars based on poser and image reasons... And on that ground you are correct. The M2 and RS dont really compare on that level. But as far as I was able to tell from those two videos, the comparison was on performance. Not posing... |

Focus ST has not been received that well based on it's performance. How can the ST be a better value than a RS if performance is the only thing you care about??? |

I take my hat off for the ford and it is a good value for the money invested.
However personally for me the ford has never been an alternative to the M2. The only car that could drag me away from the M2 would be the Porsche 718 S |

Why is people saying the M2 is faster, when the Ford is a manual transmission vs the M2 DCT? Isn't it pretty obvious the Ford would have beaten the M2 if the M2 had the stick shift?
