Official US MY17 Changes - Where is it?

We've seen the German and Canadian official MY17 with price increase and changes.

Where is the US version?

Do you anticipate similar changes or perhaps additional available options?

as frustrating as it is, I don't see why BMW wouldn't increase prices as much as possible and I'm mentally preparing for it.

The M2 is basically their most sought after car at the moment. If I were them, I'd try to maximize what people will pay before they bow out and go for something else. And based on the euphoria around here, they have some room to go.

Agreed! In my case, i was planning some mods for my M3, but now i'll have to wait and see what the changes will bring. I was hoping we had something from BMW NA by now.

The 2ers will get iDrive 5.0 for MY17. The main changes won't happen until next summer for MY18 when the cars gets a facelift along with the rest of the lineup.

Do you really think the M2 will get a facelift? I'm skeptical of any real cosmetic changes, but if it's a bolt on piece I can see that.

LCI for MY18. It'll be minor cosmetic changes before new model for MY20/21.

Absolutely. Expect new lights and small changes to the interior (like new accents and things like that)

Lol.

Seriously though, unless there changing the engine who cares... Cosmetics can easily be changed/upgraded to whatever you please.

I for one would have wanted LED headlights and potentially OLED taillights. Not a deciding factor by any means, but a decently important one. Then you add to the fact that iDrive 5.0 is literally around the corner and that would have been enough for me to wait for a bit.

Everyone's situation is different. Moot point at the end of the day as I'd rather have a 4 door now.

All that can be retrofitted if you want it. I wouldn't wait 12 months + for those extras and that's if they come to surface.

I myself prefer coupes over 4 doors, but I like all of of them

Nothing yet. Supposedly June 10th is the day of new allocation announcements a from BMW NA to the dealers.

Definitely debatable whether it's worth the wait. But trying to retrofit new taillights, LED headlights and a whole new iDrive system would cost a pretty penny.

Not something I'd bother with if I already have the car, but in my case, I've waited years to buy this new car (talking about an F80 though), so I might as well do it right.

That's fair enough + you already have two cars. I'm without a car at the moment after selling my e92 m3 a while back and if I wait for the new idrive I'll have to wait another 12 months + before I jump into an M2. My M2 is due for production this month and delivery August / September. Takes a while here in Aus!

Well that definitely makes sense and I would have done the same thing if I were in your shoes.

Here's to hoping the summer goes by quick for you!

Based on latest updates in the July Production thread, I'm inclined to agree.

To be fair, I don't believe BMW ever said it was going to release this info on the 10th.

No but when you officially release a car on 4/16, hype it up via PR and your own website, then decide not to produce virtually any, not give any updates on production plan, etc.....

You might start getting the middle finger from customers. Seems like piss poor planning too.
