Most economical way to go to 763m wheels?

What would you recommend as the most economical way to replace the stock 788m wheels to 763m? I am thinking to find discounted 763's from online, bring them to dealers once my M2C is available, ask the dealer to install them to the existing tires, have them balance/tpms, and try to sell 788's on eBay.

Would this be a right way? Any potentional drawbacks of the approach you can think of? I am strongly tempted to get 763's after seeing the relatively heavier weight of 788. To me, the 763 looks more elegant as well. Thanks for help!

That sounds like a good plan. Just wait until after I sell mine 😁

This is how I’ve done it on past vehicles, definitely most economical.

I am thinking doing the same. Who has the best price for 763?

I can get 20-30 % off of oem 763 from the dealer but not sure if anyone can beat this?

I found them for $3000. no tax to my state. I can't remember the dealer, it was from Pennsylvania I think. I'll give my local guys a chance before I buy.

Agree love them in silver, but was under the impression they didn’t come in silver?

They don't, someone had them refinished I think.

Will the dealer do this for you gratis as a new car customer? Or will they rape you as so often happens?

True. It's not ideal, but I'm sure the tires could be sold to recoup some of the cost.

Love the 763... Didn't like the 788 looks
And definitely don't want them since they are heavier.

I would do the same and sell the 788s with delivery miles to someone that does like them.

I think Bmw will sell a lot of these 763m given the weight of the standard US comp wheels.

Doesn't hurt they are probably one of BMW's best looking wheels ever.

Reviving this thread.

Is this still the best deal out there? Just under 20% off and includes the Sport Cup 2s mounted and balanced.

I would skip the PSC2s and buy the tire I need for the expected task (i.e. RE-71R for autox, PS4S for street, etc). Sun Motor Cars BMW sells a lot of 763M sets/month, and they can get the gold ones if desired for a few hundred per set more than these: matte black 763M set for $2950 shipped.

If you really want the gold with PSC2s, it looks like their discount will be a good bit more than getbmwparts (somewhere between 22-24% off MSRP, shipped).

That's how I plan on doing it when the time comes. I figure I will wait until I need new tires, and then just replace the entire set of wheels also.
