For those with Camber Plates and KW V3s

What is the spring inner diameter for them? I wanna order some ground control camber plates and thrust sheets (the popping noise is so annoying).

Thanks!

Why would you need thrust sheets? The top of the spring sits in a ball-raced cup that can move independently of the body shell and the damper.

Basically they make a sound whenever cutting the wheels at parking speeds.

It seems improbable, but there you go. is it too late to buy MPS instead? There the top mounts are the same, while the lower end of the spring fits in a rubber cup that rests on the plastic spring perch. Which is the same as the one on the KW V3 bar the colour. HTH.

Yeah I honestly would've but I've had these installed for the past 4K Miles already. Apparently Ohlins have the same issue.

Either you keep them clean constantly (every 3-4 days you clean em) or you get thrust sheets. It's easier for me to just get the thrust sheets.

60mm is the inner diameter for anyone wondering.

I'm thinking I'll just grab GC camber plates and do that at the same time lol.

That thread that was linked, the OP stated that the thrust sheets didn't really work and the noise was related to spring bind hence why he installed the plastic spring isolators.

If you are set on thrust washers have a look into torrington/needle bearing washers or swift option

Do all KW v3 coilovers make this noise on an M2C? Or is it the combination with camber plates and KW v3 coilovers?

Nah it's all, but it seems to be a thing across the board with lowered F8X.

I'm gonna be installing v3s (slightly used second hand) in conjunction with millway plates with the "street" PU inner portion. You can also swap in the typical uniball inner if you want more stiffness.

Not sure how the noise will be compared to stock or uniball top-hats so we'll see..

If search a little u will find positive reviews noise wise on the street version. Keep in mind that the street version cannot achieve as much camber as the spherical one.

Thanks, good to know! I'm only planning minimal drop with the KWs and occasional track day (~4 or 5 per year) so I think these will work well.

If you can reach -3 it's plenty even if you will probably want to set it around -2.5 or -2.8, more than that and your pretty serious at track driving.

I'm not serious at much in life, especially track driving

Installed V3s and Millway streets yesterday. Can't believe how composed the suspension is compared to stock.

Different brand Coilovers and plates were much more noisy on the E46 (powerflex bushings may have contributed, ha).

After two test drives I'm getting no clunking or additional noise from the camber plates.

I'm doing thrust sheets and GC plates as well. I ran GC plates on my e92 M3 and they were perfectly fine with no issues.
