Heat from footwell

Hi all

Does anyone get heat emanating from the driver side footwell? My footrest and the wall beside it gets warm and have double checked it is not a circulation issue.

I have getting my run-in service done soon and will mention to the service guys but thought I would get your opinions in the meantime to get fast-track the diagnosis.

Cheers
Shanil

Can't say I've noticed mate, but will have a feel down in the footwell tomorrow.

Is it more noticeable at certain times, say after some spirited driving when the car gets particularly hot?

Only noticed it yesterday while driving barefoot for the first time in the M and again today... had the car for a month now and haven't felt it before. Sydney was particularly warm this weekend! Thanks mate!

So i drove for approx an hour today, temp was around 25 and i was barefoot, didn't notice any additional heat around the footwell or specifically the left foot area.

I'd say it's safe to say what you are experiencing is unusual.

No problems! Sylvania BMW had a look and no heat shield missing around the transmission tunnel so maybe just some spirited driving thanks for checking as well, I really appreciate the effort!

I drove the other day in thongs and noticed left side of footwell on transmission was quite warm. assume that is normal as most cars I've had had warmth on the tunnel side.
