Stock exhaust outlet is 70mm.

M Performance tips have a 67mm inlet.

The inlet size, and fact that the carbon sleeve goes all the way to the back of the exhaust tips are there specifically to prevent people from putting them on the stock exhaust.

No worries though, Alibaba has some fantastic slip-on's that are so good, no one would know the difference...and at a fraction of the absolutely STUPID OEM price.

Just worked out that BMW do have an m performance carbon tip for NON MPE (stock) exhaust but not going to be paying new prices!

I've got an MP CF diffuser and always liked the supercar look of the CF zorst tips.

Guess I'll be buying from China question is which ones. I'd want matte steel.

Anyone notice on genuine tips the notch in the CF (where toy can see the M logo thorough ) is exposed naked CF and all the copies add gloss to the area?

I think BMW were onto something with that change in texture, it looks good IMO.

Believe these shorter MPE tips were introduced with the set screw as the original MPE tips was some of the cause of the rattle issue with the OG MPE.

That may be but as others have said stock exhaust inlet is 70mm Vs 67mm on MPE.

So that version of exhaust tip is designed for 70mm. Shame the BMW pricing is absolutely bat shit crazy.

Based on what I have learned so far the M2 & M2C Performance exhaust tail pipe finishers are interchangeable. It also seems some folks have fit them to the stock M2 & M2C exhaust.

BMW ///M Logo Exhaust Finisher Options? https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1610284

In this thread someone mentioned something about straight and angled cut and the word fit. May want to take that into consideration when shopping around.

What exhaust tips fit the M2C https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1637866

Yes interchangeable for performance exhaust with diameter 67mm.

Stock exhaust is 70mm.

Any exhaust shop can flare the tip inlet 3mm, but with the carbon sleeve going all the way back you're likely to crack it, so they probably won't touch it with a 10-ft pole, and looking at the price, no owner would either. Again, it's to keep people from putting that tip on a non-MPE.

But again, Alibaba has tips that are honest to goodness fantastic, and MANY styles to choose from.

I'm no spokesperson for Alibaba, sucks doing International business, but I've had several of their tips and was amazed at the quality. Of course, it's not too damn hard to make an exhaust tip...

How does Alibaba work? I went on there and it seemed like I had to order 20 tips but then they were giving me 98% off the price?

Why would I go on there Vs Ali express/other?

Ali Express is the same thing, just less quantity. I meant to write Ali Express.

Alibaba is for bulk purchases for suppliers/companies. Aliexpress is the storefront for the general consumer

Think I can dry sand the notch in the clones to give it the de-glossed OEM look?

I bought the MP CF tips for the OG M2. Don’t waste your money on knock off from China, cuz they are cheap for a reason.
