Yeah I completely agree with the fact that MINIs aren't so "MINI" anymore. The styling isn't so bad, but they're so freaking big nowadays. I still own an '05 Cooper S hardtop with some modifications and I'm really glad that I decided to keep it, because the first generation (R53) in my opinion, was MINI in it's true form. A friend of mine has an '09 Cooper S hardtop and it's nowhere near as responsive, and you can feel the weight, the newest ones even more so. That's why they came out with a 2015 John Cooper Works hardtop with 230hp, but yet has the same performance figures as my 2005 hardtop with 200hp

It's sad.

///Mikey
Possibly truest form of the current incarnation from BMW but nothing like the original Mini Cooper S from 1961 to 2000, imho.

I'm pretty sure most of the people on here bashing the seats have never sat in an m235. They are surprisingly supportive and actually more comfortable in long periods than the M3 seats. Function over flare.

They aren't bad but the M4 seats are much more supportive... especially in aggressive driving... in my experience with the M235 and the M4. I am worried about the seats holding me in place at the track. The bolsters on the seat bottom and sides are not firm enough whereas they are very firm in the M4.

I care less about comfort and more about holding my ass in place at the track. Having said that, I found the M4 seats to be every bit as comfortable. IMO, the M4 seats have better "function" and are much nicer looking too.

The seats in my M2 may need to be replaced with something more sporty. The good news is the car is so much less expensive than the M4, it won't matter

If the M2 seats turn out to be fit for purpose and 'deliver' for the driving experience, then do you (still) mind ?

I would certainly prefer cloth similar to gt350 without heating. Not having another option for hpde is total bs. Even M3 has cloth option.

What do you get on hers?
Reverse psychology, I think.

It worked when she fell in love with me. Why wouldn't it work for an M2? " I don't really like the M2 so I bought it for you on my birthday"

Fabulous Car...

Needs a red interior option. Can't wait to drive it. Could very be the next M for me.

There are some features that have to be at least Performance Options!
Maybe they will be standard on M2 CSL

M235 seats are the same as the M sport 3 and 4 series seats.

Jesus f----ing Christ, seats again.

Swap them for the M3 seats if you think they won't hold your ass in corners then.

This place is becoming more and more hilarious each day.

The M2 is kind of subtle. If you don't notice the rear flare, you might not know it was anything special.

Im just pointing out that for the price and badge it carries it should feel a bit more special inside - just look at the competition - and we know bmw has "ears" in here so the more fuss we make the better chances future customers get what they deserve! I am not even a customer for this car - NA hydraulic steering are a must for me (E9 csi, Z4M coup, e46 csl (soon) owner). I have made alot of fuss here and the truth is things changed - f25 x3 int, new 7 interior etc
