When ordering my M2 on Oct 16, 2015 (no demo dealer [HEA]), I have personally seen a BMW document stating that M2 deliveries are scheduled to roll out from April 16, 2016 (at least as regards Belgium).

If someone has official information that BMW has changed plans in the meantime, please let us know.
I was visiting another dealer today, then there I bought my car. He confirmed the the 16th of April is still valid as we speak.

I just took delivery of my M3 at the Welt, and on three separate occasions I got to see two different M2 test cars roaming outside the Welt and one inside the factory premises during the factory tour. I was really bummed that I wasn't able to take pics I saw both Alpine White and LBB. Car looks fantastic, but anyone on the fence about going with LBB versus a more conservative color such as white, go with LBB! It looks amazing and such a head turner. White just doesn't stand out as much and doesn't show the lines as much as LBB does. I really loved the color in person and fits the car perfectly, and sounds great as well!

Just wondering whether April 16, 2016 was (also) chosen because of the Winter season officially ending in most places requiring winter tires and/or snow chains.

Thanks for confirming LBB is the color to go!

Couldn't be bothered looking for the limited production threads but....

Spoke to my dealer finally about their M2 allocations. Believes they will have 4. I got the feeling he meant in total but maybe he meant all year next year. Only 1 firm order so far he believes.

I think once the configuration is online and pricing understood they will be gone.

Hi everyone,

A similar story for me in the UK. My deposit went down on the day of the reveal and I'm first in the dealers list. I've got a screenshot of the '1100' code and it shows an April build for delivery May 9th. My contract shows a mid-April delivery, but now that manufacturing has been scheduled the first batch of cars are coming to the UK in May.

The UK situation seems to be 2-3 cars per dealer with April builds for May delivery, July builds for August delivery and then November builds for December delivery.

While it's not a limited edition, supply is definitely restricted in the first year. For the UK, anyway!

Hi Arcanum-UK

My conversations with my dealer, sort of agree with you. I've detailed them on this thread, UK Deals.

After much indecision I had my mind made up for me after chatting to two local dealers over the weekend who have both already sold their 3 car allocations for the year. Taking it a sign and will be ordering an F82 over the next couple of weeks. Still think the M2 will be a fantastic car though.

Never seen LBB on a car (except on X5M and X6M samples). My SA will let me know once he has a LBB car on lot for my appreciation of the color.

I am definitely in for the M2. I'm currently in my 2nd E39; a 2000 528i which will easily get me through until the rush is over on the first year or two of the M2.

Every new video and picture of the M2 helps me reaffirm that this is the Bimmer that I've been waiting for. I cannot wait to drive one. I truly hope it meets my expectations, but somehow, I don't think that will be a problem. At least on paper, it seems to be the perfect car for me.

Mine will be Mineral Grey with DARK TINTED WINDOWS. Wish I could pick the interior color but I'm not going to argue with the black.
