Any Aftermarket/BMW solutions to having HomeLink in non-US countries?

Hey guys,

Is there any solution to get homelink or any neat gate key controller setup in the M2?

I move around between 3 houses where I'm living, and each has its own set of gate keys, and its just too much clutter in the car.

Looked into retrofitting the E39 M5 HomeLink controller under the center console (all it needs is +12v and power), but came up short since I couldn't find any with EU frequencies. (https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e39-m5-lim/Z8oK3dG)

I was looking at some Mustang HomeLink factory setups, was wondering if I can do anything along those lines.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Maybe you can get a Euro Homeling module from an older BMW and wire it in. I did that for my Z3 that had no Homelink option. I just wired it up to power and placed it under the driver's seat.

I've tried looking through eBay and RealOEM for part #'s I couldn't find anything. Can you please point me to the one you got?

Mine isn't Euro, it's for the US market. I can't seem to find any of those units on UK ebay, so ?? Just curious why not just get the correct rearview mirror with your car that has the integrated homelink in it? I'm sure it was available over there.

Not available according to RealOEM. It's frustrating as hell.

Different countries have different rules/laws regarding the radio frequencies for door openers / etc.

That's why there are different models of Homelink for different regions.

The option code for US Homelink is S319A.

Yupp. It's weird to not see any EU ones from BMW.
