Yeah. I've had mods sitting in boxes forever trying to decide. It'll get fully tracked prepped now.

Yeah. When I saw my car for the first time, I was like.

I don’t blame you with the ridiculously low trade-in offer you got.

For me, the extra weight on the M2C is the turnoff. Almost defeats the purpose of the extra power. Personally, I feel as if they kept weight on the M2C to maintain the M3/4 stats as better performing. Hence why you can't get a carbon roof factory.

Ya you can tune it like hell, but some of us prefer a beautifully engineered vehicle stock.

Sell the 788 and buy the 763m or some other light weight wheel you like. Performance and looks upgrade.

You going to rip the back seats out and go roll cage? Do lighter front seats? Lighter battery?

The base M2 is hardly dated IMO. And of course it's a personal preference. I'm looking at a black Z4M coupe later today. I'll just start collecting M cars now.

Not yet. Prob camber plates, install my coil overs, wing, SS brake lines and a Dinan tuner for now.

A fine choice . I held off on my purchase until I saw everything I wanted to see about the M2C and then immediately contacted my CA to locate an '18 LCI for me! Personally I found there were too many negatives to compensate for the extra premium. I'm not a fan of the grilles, the exhaust sound, the muffler hanging down in all its glory, the oil cooler location, the extra weight over the nose, and the 788M's. I'm indifferent on the front PDC or the front seats. I really just want the damn mirrors

Most importantly, a manual M2C with Exec pack would have cost me $9,530 more out the door (that's assuming I got M2C for MSRP). This made my decision EXTREMELY easy.

If I planned on making this a dedicated track car then perhaps my outlook would be different due to the S55 tuning potential. Since I'm not, I can say wholeheartedly I have zero regrets and I'm sure you won't either

I prefer the LCI taillights as well. I'm thinking about swapping them out on my M235.

Nice ! I have the same front lip. I track my car but I don't need more power except on the straights. If I get faster in the turns, I'll still be passing those faster cars

The LCI tail lights are worth it. It's all LED bulbs with the exception of the reverse light.

Just make sure and get the European version; the US tails have red LED turn signals, instead of amber.

Also, the 'anti-tailgating' rear LED fogs help with all the NY/NJ drivers that constantly rides my rear bumper.. It always pleases me to press a button and see them get literally blinded by their stupidity..

I respect F87LUV 's decision - I am not sure whether it makes sense to upgrade if you have the OG M2.

But let's be straight here - the M2C is absolutely the better performing car of the two, objectively speaking.

It's also hard, IMO, to compare the looks of two cars when one has transfer/packing tape on it and hasn't been washed versus one that is very clean in that department.

Something else to keep in mind - the M2's weight went up by ~5%...but the power went up by more than 10%...the N55 stock is pretty maxed out at the stock levels, and the S55 is always underrated...just pointing out the facts.

I think the pre-LCI lights are the main aspect of the "dated-ness" of the OG M2.

The HEX LEDs look much more aggressive, IMO. OG M2 or M2C..

I also don't wanna track a brand spanking new car. Just makes sense to keep my current car. This isn't a 1M. I can always get one if I change my mind later down the line.

Also I may or may not have test driven this 6MT 911 S with sport chrono and exhaust yesterday as well. I'm sure that didn't influence my decision here.

If you can swing that, you'll really enjoy it. Keep in mind that mileage will REALLY hurt you on a Porsche. But I'm sure you noticed that the transmission doesn't compare. Going to a 991.1 would probably be a better value decision.

Wheels look pretty good in the video. Still not as aggressive as 437M but not bad. That vertical video tho .

Diffuser / exhaust looks so much better on the OG car.

Horsepower does not completely compensate for weight. Only during acceleration. All other aspects of driving suffer
