So why is it again that unlike in the US, we get shafted in Canada and get no discount on ED cars?
They get a 5% discount, which is explained as such: The savings are not a result of different taxes or duties, as many people speculate. Many people ask why cars have a lower price when purchased through ED. The reason is that BMW and BMWNA sell cars through ED outside of the usual dealer incentive programs offered by BMWNA to its dealers. US BMW dealers receive incentive payments from BMW NA based on customer satisfaction, or "CSI" scores. Those scores, in conjunction with the number of cars sold, result in incentive payments. BMWs sold through the ED program do not increase a dealer's unit sales and are not subject to the CSI program. Because BMW NA does not pay out this incentive money, they are able to pass along those savings to you in the form of a reduced price on an ED car. The amount of the discount is approximately equal to the potential CSI money a dealer would receive on the sale of the same car through US delivery. http://www.bimmerfest.com/wiki/index...ery_101&ajax=0 |

Put my deposit down here in Vancouver. In Canada most of the options I wanted were standard which was nice. Starting price was $71250, I added the HS paint ($895), Wireless charging w/ extended Bluetooth and USB ($350), Harman Kardon sound system ($1000), and a sunroof ($1500). Wheels painted in black is a no cost option, as well as the stitching options and Wifi hotspot. Freight & PDI in Vancouver was quite expensive though, and the dealership weren't keen on giving much discounts due to me being rushed to get my order in.

Thanks! They told me my car will be on the production floor July 27th. And most likely arriving early September excited. Lost my 997 C4S in a fire so I can’t wait to be able to drive again.

Ok, im not sure if this was brought up in this thread (didn't read every post) but why a new car with the same M3/M4 engine, aren't they going to do a B58 S-variant M engine soon?

anyone know how many 2019 M2's will be available in Canada and is a dealer markup expected?
Currently BMW Gallery in Calgary is selling the 2018 M2's for $84K for the manual and $86k + taxes for the automatic - which is considerably more than what the new 2019 competition model is listed for. |

That’s ridiculous ! How much is the markup on this ? You should be able to get at least at MSRP.
