Just came home from a client visit, and along the way we were stopped at a traffic light at a large and busy intersection. I had the music turned up, but windows down, and I hear someone yell "HEY!!" I kill the radio and turn to look, and all the way across the street, across 5 lanes and sitting at a bus stop sort of back behind us on the other side of the road, is this guy who is a dead ringer for Mekhi Phifer, the actor who was in 8 Mile (among other films). I look at him and he yells "Hey man, that car is a bad motherfucker!!!"
Kid you not, just happened. |

I got called an asshole by some teenagers in a Focus ST the other day while sitting in traffic at a stoplight minding my own business. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.
Other than that, I get about as much attention as I do driving my GTI hah. Mostly kids or teenagers, but occasionally people do comment on the LBB color. I'd bet the M2 would fly much more under the radar if it was black or grey. |

I got thumbs up from a guy in a Cayman one time, probably for the MPE sound. I tend to switch to Comfort mode and close the valves when I drive by cops |

I *think* I posted this on some other thread but as I was parking my car a while back, a guy drove over and took a picture of my M2 and gave me the thumbs up.

Last week some kid a black 1 series coup pulls up next to me on the highway, rolls down his window, and yells "Hey, that's the car I want to get!"

I currently have 2 cars. A GC8 WRX in WRC blue with anthracite Compomotive wheels and an HS M2C. The M2C attracts long lingering looks from random males in their 20s and 30s. The WRX attracts unbridled excitement from random males aged 6-13.
I’ll leave that with you to ponder. |

Some guy at advanced auto driving a slightly older Mercedes S550 asked me if I wanted to trade cars.
I politely declined. |

Thanks. It wasn't much slower than the M2 either. 3.0 engine swap, twinscrew supercharger, LSD, 6 speed transmission, etc ...
One thing that surprised me was the handling. I thought the e46 handled great on Bilstein PSS10 coilovers. Taking the M2 through some tight turns was eye opening |

That's one of the reasons I went with the 2 over the 3/4: They seem to be more unique.

lol...I feel guilty leaving my neighborhood at 5:30 am every morning. Comfort and keep her below 1500 rpm is about the best I can do.

It really depends on how I drive my stock MGM. If I keep things calm, don't wind it up or downshift into high revs, the car isn't very flashy and only gets noticed by car buffs.
On the other hand, if you push it in places where people will hear, you will get noticed. |

Same .... I have a LBB. smh I never had anything like that happened to me when I had my Audi A4 so I'm sure it's gotta be the car. I now drive much more carefully just so I don't get into an accident. Can't afford that.
