That drone is normal. Don't want it... Get a sport downpipe and it is less, or get a decent exhaust. Not much else you can do...

Exactly what I noticed yesterday! on the highway at 120 km/h (75 mph) the droning disappears and the engine gets quieter in 5th vs 6th. Though, the RPM (and fuel consumption) go up of course. All of this with ASD disabled and MPE. |

There is definitely a vibration from the MPE Exhaust. It is just the nature of a loud exhaust.
If you want to keep it loud then the only choices are: 1 - Bypass the ASD (use Technics Harness for best results) 2 - Insulate the trunk (I put back all the sound insulation from the 2 series and got a 10db drop in interior noise. These cars are great at speed and unless you are on the track drone is a complete pain.
