That drone is normal. Don't want it... Get a sport downpipe and it is less, or get a decent exhaust. Not much else you can do...

Where exactly did you re-add the resonator? Got a pic?
I don't have a good pic. This is the best I've got: https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=22979231

Basically in the same area as the stock was

I just drive in 5th instead of 6th on the highway. Not a great solution, but it is quieter.

Exactly what I noticed yesterday! on the highway at 120 km/h (75 mph) the droning disappears and the engine gets quieter in 5th vs 6th. Though, the RPM (and fuel consumption) go up of course.

All of this with ASD disabled and MPE.

There is definitely a vibration from the MPE Exhaust. It is just the nature of a loud exhaust.
If you want to keep it loud then the only choices are:
1 - Bypass the ASD (use Technics Harness for best results)
2 - Insulate the trunk (I put back all the sound insulation from the 2 series and got a 10db drop in interior noise.
These cars are great at speed and unless you are on the track drone is a complete pain.

Can you share the part number for the sound insulation from the 2 series you used?
