I did a Car Gurus and Autotrader search in your area...not much there for used 2018 M2's. Found 1 near Sacramento, but it's at a CarMax and they are asking 53K... I got my new 2018 with more options for 54K. Had to drive from basically Los Angeles to Santa Maria to pick it up, but worth the drive. There were quite a few 2017's to choose from though if you are still open to a pre LCI M2.

You guys are using the wrong terminology. All LCI cars have LED headlights but the only exec pack cars with ADAPTIVE LED's come with the cool angel eyes.

The standard LED headlights on the LCI's are almost identical looking to the Pre-LCI cars. Not sure why people are leaving this detail out because it's an important distinction.

I didn't mean to say that the LED lights are fabulous to look at from outside the car. They are fabulous from behind the steering wheel.
My 135i came with adaptive lights back in 2011. But they are HID xenon, which was a big step up over halogen bulbs. These LED are a step up over the xenons.

Here in Canada there is no Exec package, all cars come with heated power seats and heated steering etc. The adaptive Led headlights is a 1000$cad option and its worth every penny !

They have so much ouput at night its really impressive.

How's the reliability of the DCT nowadays?
I used to have a 2011 E92 M3, the DCT is fast and smart.

I agree. I love my DCT. Also just got back from M Track Days. All their Ms were DCT. They all worked flawlessly.

Depends on how you'll be using the car. Obviously the dual clutch will be better suited in traffic or on the track but on empty backroads nothing beats the feeling of manual gear changes.

Also, the 6MT in the M2 has auto rev match which makes up/down shifting feel much smoother vs. a traditional manual gearbox. Some people can't stand it but I absolutely love it. It feels so rewarding and requires no effort whatsoever.

The 6MT is a little more engaging and the DCT is a little more efficient.

Personally I've had plenty of M/T cars and I wanted my M2 DCT, I really love it but I have to me honest that maybe 0.5% of the time I could enjoy the total control of the M/T.

With that said, they are both some of the best you can get of there kind.

Test drive both and you will easily find your answer.

Only downfall of MT....losing boost between shifts which is amplified with higher boost settings, that is unless you like the g forces caused from those manual shifts. I like it and won't switch to DCT/ZF 8AT for the strip times.

Yeah, in the OG / 16-17, all cars had adaptive (left/right turning) headlights, but Xenon projectors. Exec package gave you backup cam, rear parking sensors, heated steering wheel, and front safety camera for braking, lane-departure warning, auto highbeams, & speed limit sign reading.

In the 2018, all cars have LED headlights and backup cam, but only the Exec package headlights are adaptive, and only the adaptive lights have the "hex" style angular angel eyes. Exec package still includes the other stuff from before.

So the real change is that in 16-17, Exec gave you the RVC; in 18 everyone gets RVC so instead Exec gets adaptive + hex-halo LEDs.
