However I think power may be limited till some codes are activated at the dealership for pre delivery inspection. Also car takes a bit to warm up and the computer doesn't allow the engine to rev as freely vs when it's warm. Either way I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Thanks! Yeah I know the car gets driven throughout the delivery process, only concern was when it's at the dealership a tech might mess around. Never have I trusted a dealership, and I never will haha.

Thanks, I thought that might be your dealer since you're in STL and said "out of city, same state". I have mine ordered from BMW of South KC with a July delivery date. Will be sure and discuss w/ my CA.

They're relatively new to the area, owned by Hendrick Automotive Group, and I'm sure they're not looking to get a bad name.

When I was at their place getting some recall work done on my M3 a few weeks ago, they had a M2 Performance Edition delivered and the shipper guy who drove and unloaded the carrier scratched the front lip of that M2. Service guy said it happens more often than it should. Maybe they need to find a new shipping service.

Yes sir, they should considering the driver scrapped two M2s in a span of two weeks during delivery. I was gut-wrenched. Atleast they fixed it for which I am glad. I only liked dealing with their Customer Advisor than the management people. At a certain point during delivery, they are to cut me a check for a balance amount for which I asked if that would be done the same day. Response from Business Manager - We don't give back balance checks same day because who knows, you might have prepared this check at your home!? (I wanted to find humor in that statement) but couldn't.
I hope they will provide a better service for you. Congrats again sir.

4 miles. Then I test drove for 8 miles, so when I bought it the paperwork listed 12 miles.

Mine wasn't an order, it became available due to an order back out 2 days before it hit the dealer. The Genius drove it to a "cars & coffee" hoping to make a sale. I test drove it with 31 miles on the clock that same day. I probably put 5 or so miles on it & it had under 40 on it when I bought it a week later.

Mine had 32km, it was delivered from one that was unsold interstate which probably explains it :

My M2C had 2 miles on it when I picked it up at the Welt. I dropped it off 2 weeks later for its journey to the US with 2,798 miles on the odometer!

Typically miles can range on a new car from around 5-60.

True story- just test drove a 2020 M2C and I let the sales guy drive first. I've never seen a bmw driven harder, full throttle and all the way to redline, 100mph+ pulls too. This car only had 20 miles on it when we started, then had about 30 miles on it when the "test drive" was over. Oh yeah, and the car was completely ice cold and not warmed up (pulled off the showroom floor). I want one, but not that one lol. Be advised, I have multiple supercars/racecars, so it takes a lot to "surprise me". Buyer beware!
