I'll be ordering an M2C soon in the Toronto area. Been making the rounds at dealerships and so far I've been able to negotiate up to 4% off. Going to see if I can get a bit more off before placing my order.

That's one crazy deal for US market on M2C
I'd believe it if I see the invoice or sales bill.

do dealers normally offer discount on M cars once there are enough supply in the market? I was planning to order 2021 model of the M2C and was wondering if MSRP would still be the normal pring point in 2-3 years time Thank you

My dealer has an immediately configurable spot for ED at the 5% off MSRP deal minus another $750 off. PM me if anyone is looking. I'm going to get my car ED in Jan.

Looks like demand loosen up a bit in Mid-West, and South West. But not in the land of PNW

If I don't get any prod number by Dec for MY 2019, I'll be requesting to be in the waiting list for 2020 MY on M2C.
And if BMW stop prod of it, no problem I am getting an X3M in Summer. No hurry for me to get M2C, already bought an M3 last March.

This may fuel speculation yet again, that S55 may not pass 2019 EU emission yet again and BMWAG may kill it for now and resurrect M2 with S58 engine.
No way they'll kill the golden goose as far as model goes, M2 has alot of demands going forward

Hmmm, I somehow doubt the S55 won't pass EU emission or else would the M4 also have the updated with the S58?

Seems like BMW would have planned accordingly or in advance.

ED for MSRP + $5K

I talked to my local Bay Area dealer on Sunday. They didn't have any more ED allocations for the M2C, but said they would make some phone calls. Today they called to say they could get an allocation for a fully configurable MC2 comp, complete with a late spring/early summer pickup time that I wanted.

Their offer price: $5K above MSRP. Yep, that's not a typo. $5K over MSRP. When I tried to negotiate that down, they said they have so much demand that it's not worth it to them to do anything lower than that.

I thought about it for about 5 minutes, then thought I better just keep looking around. It might be worth it to go somewhere in the middle of the country and have the car shipped to Berkeley, or maybe even pick it up and drive it home.

This thread has been super useful, so thanks for all the posts!

Cool, so I guess it'd be a MY2020 car, given a late spring, early summer delivery...

Dealer loses holdback on ED cars, bad dealers usually get 2.5% and good performing dealers get as much as 5% of holdback from BMWNA
Just FYI

So the best chance is to approach bad performing dealer to score ED on M2C

with the m2 i would be suprised if it stays on lots long enough for holdback which i understand is monthly checks(?) for the time the car stays in your lot

Preston BMW in Boardman Ohio will sell them for MSRP. I'm putting a $1000 deposit today for a jan-feb allocation. They will include the M performance rear spoiler at no extra charge so I suppose that's better than nothing since they won't come off of MSRP.

I went with them after talking to all the other Pittsburgh area BMW dealers. All of them seemed disinterested in even talking about it, some just said "nope can't get," etc. One wanted 5000 cash to "show you're serious". Fuck off.

Preston gets my business. The salesman has been great and constantly in contact.

Hold back for BMW is not based on time on the lot it's based on dealer ratings; ever wonder why CA and SA always ask for 10 on survey, this survey scores used by BMWNA to rate dealership, thus the hold-back percentage.

my CA just called me, he secures an M2C allocation for late Jan 2019, and delivery in late March or early April for me.
I am thorn cause X3M may starts production in March as well.
Have to let my CA knows soon, no mark up either.
