Yep! See my preliminary thread on it: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1782572
Yep, I've been all over it
I've held off on the wmi kit I was looking at now.

Looking at a flex fuel kit instead now. My goal is to run 93 daily no pi, no wmi and hit high 400 wheel and then fill up with e50 on the weekends and hit mid 500s or 600 whp.

You think the bend calibration flex fuel kit will be switched out for something later? Or should I go ahead and start researching/purchasing

may I ask a questions ?

Lets say you don't have access to E-fuel but want to open up the potential of your N55 M2, most easily available/reliable setup I guess would be a pure stage 2 and all required mods.

Ive been down the road of upgraded turbos combined with wmi (jb4 + mhd backend) on my past 135i but I'd rather avoid WMI from now on.

Questions: What is the horsepower threshold to need an upgraded High Flow pump ? What power can be expected from a pure 2 running 91-93 with stock pump ? Where will an upgraded High flow pump take us ?

What setup will run de coolest for track use ? WMI or E fuel ? If I ever go down the rabbit hole with the M2 I'd rather it to be the simplest one.

Thanks

I'd start researching on it. The kit is solid and the only thing that I can see being "replaced" is the Zeitronix ECA-2 if you eventually decide to go PI/WMI and upgrade to a more comprehensive controller to something like the Motiv ReFlex, which can control Flex fuel, PI, WMI, etc. You can run the ECA-2 and the ReFlex in parallel or consolidate all to the ReFlex and sell the ECA-2.

The filter, lines, and bracketry on the kit will be good for the long term. Will only need to replace the filter ($50) every 5k miles or so depending on how clean your fuel is.

You can do 520-530whp without a stage 3 HPFP set-up, as I did on the Dorch Stage 2 with the BW 7670 turbo. It's really dependent on your turbo choice and your goals

You'll also need a tuning solution to take advantage of the ethanol sensor/content analyzer. You'll have some time to research before BM3 releases their solution or you can go with EcuTek, which I'm running right now.

Simplest would probably be pump fuel and Boostane. With ECUTEC you can have one map for Boostane and one for normal pump fuel. You can toggle between the two without reflashing.

Pricing just jumped to $1650. If it's going to stay there then imo it's definitely not worth it over spool or dorch which offer life time warranty for $49 more.

I'll check on this.

IMO, it depends on how it flows. If it truly flows better than Dorch or Spool, that answer is not as easy.

I guess we will see, but I doubt it will flow more.

What if I told you that:

1) The price on the site is going to change.

and

2) The lifetime warranty is coming extremely soon?

If said price is going back to the $1300 range with lifetime warranty, then all of a sudden this is the best pump option currently available - if it holds up to expectations

If it's equally priced to the other options and results are similar then it's down to personal preference and if the check box tuning option is good, unlike xdi which causes a weird stutter.

I can tell you with certainty that the lifetime warranty is being announced very soon. (The S55 pumps they just announced carries a lifetime warranty). I'm unsure on the final price, but I think everyone should be happy with it.

Good to hear they changed their mind on the warranty, if they didn't then imo they would be near the back of the pack when it comes to what a potential customer might pick as all of these pumps are so close to each other in terms of offering that every little bit will count.

I also am looking forward to seeing how much it will cost.

A bit of an update on my Nostrum HPFP install. I mentioned in a couple other threads, but I thought I'd collect the info here.

My car was dropped off Monday at Nostrum. They did a quick inspection and put it on the dyno to get a baseline. My car is FBO at the moment, and I have the Bend Calibration Flex Fuel kit with the ID F750 fuel filter, flex fuel sensor, and Zeitronix ECA-2 can-bus content analyzer.

On the baseline dyno, the car made 384whp and 445wtq.

After that, they installed the Nostrum HPFP, and got their tuning numbers needed for BM3. Since it's going to take a bit to get the OTS maps updated to support the pump, we decided to go ahead and switch the car over to Ecutek and do a full flex fuel tune.

They finished tuning the base map on Ecutek yesterday for 93 octane fuel. I've been told the car made 405WHP on straight 93 octane!

Today, they are finishing up the Ethanol tuning, and I'm expecting it to be somewhere near 450WHP on a conservative ethanol mix. I'm picking the car up this evening and I'll hopefully have a bunch more info (data, dyno charts, etc) to share. Additionally, I'll be posting up another video in the coming weeks to do a review. I gave the media person at Nostrum one of my gopro's to collect some content for me, so I'm excited to get that back and start editing.

With regards to pricing on the Nostrum pump, I've been told the new price, but it has not been updated on the website yet. Once they do that, I'll be happy to share it. But if everything works out as I expected, the Nostrum HPFP may be the new number 1 player in the fueling game on the N55 platform as far as value is concerned.

Stay Tuned!

Yes, they are sending the data over to PTF to add the Nostrum pump to the OTS maps on BM3.

Nope, never used MHD.

What dyno? Dynojet? And what was the correction factor?

Otherwise if that's a dynojet with sae or STD=5 correction then that's really really good numbers.

Also your stock tune baseline is abnormally high even with FBO, just another thing to consider.

You should ask them to support MHD as well, for us mhd guys.

I should have the charts and stuff later that will show that. The dyno they use is a dynojet. I'll see if I can find out what the correction factor was.

The baseline wasn't a stock tune. It was FBO with the BM3 Stage 2 93 octane map. My car did dyno just over 400WHP on the racegas tune over the summer, so I think the numbers are pretty close. And that was also on a dynojet.

I'll certainly ask about it. Though I'd imagine if they have the BM3 maps it wouldnt be hard to adapt them to MHD.

Minor update. While tuning for E85. the LPFP couldn't keep up. They went ahead and upgraded it as well. I do not have the specs yet but may have them later today.

Yeah I expected that, lpfps can't flow enough to max out a stage 2 hpfp upgrade, however I didn't expect you to be able to max out a stage 2 hpfp on the stock turbo, or come close enough to make the lpfp dip low enough to cause issues.

Anyways I look forward to your results.

I think this all comes down to the E85 mix your tuning with. E50 and seem to not need an LPFP upgrade, unless you throw on a big turbo.

Are you doing full E85 or a mix?
