BMW NCC - Summit Point, Shenandoah HPDE - 09/06/19-09/08/19
BMW National Capital Chapter HPDE, Sept 6-8, 2019 on the Shenandoah Circuit at Summit Point!!
Welcome to our annual Shenandoah Circuit HPDE at Summit Point Motorsports Park. This event is open to all run groups/skill levels with the usual 4 track sessions per day (including exercises), skidpad training, and classroom sessions. As you have come to expect, we provide a lot of track time, top-notch instructors, and an abundance of fun! We will also be conducting an ITS (Instructor Training School) this weekend. More details to come. Note: New for 2019! Fridays are now open to Advanced students and Approved Solo drivers! Contact the Registrar if you have questions on your status as a National Capital Chapter Advanced or Approved Solo driver. I did the two day event last year in my M235i. It rained the entire weekend, which was a bummer from a social perspective, but awesome from a learning perspective. Summit Point was a lot of fun to drive on and the skidpad was fun too.

Yes, that was unfortunate. A little rain over a weekend is good as it creates more opportunity for learning. Rain ALL weekend kind of sucks. Yes, perfect for driving on the skidpad. The skidpads at Summit Point have all been recoated, they are super slippery now!

Sorry to say no. BMW NCC and New Jersey chapters offered the ITS (instructor training school) to a number of selected instructors. I was one and very happy to say I passed. I was busy with the ITS program most of the weekend, I did not take any myself.
The weather a perfect all three days though.
