Lost split screen option (CarPlay full screen patch)

Yesterday I realized I had lost the ability to configure or toggle split screen (the box isn’t selectable) on/off in iDrive…
I have the full screen Carplay patch (NBT_evoU), but from what I read in the forums I though this wouldn’t affect the use of split screen in other apps/ menus (outside Carplay).

Yeah it’s one or the other. If you enabled FS CarPlay it’s gone.

Update
After browsing through a few threads, I confirmed what another user had wrote: that although you're unable to select/ toggle the split screen mode in iDrive (with Apple Carplay active and the full screen patch), you can use it as usual if Carplay isn't active (in my case I turned off Bluetooth and WiFi on the iPhone)...

Out of curiosity, what’s your interest in the split screen option? I feel like it doesn’t yield anything super useful (but that’s just me).

There a couple minor nice things about the split screen option. I can have CarPlay up on the left side of the screen with the full Podcasts UI *and* the built-in BMW nav on the right-hand side. Or I can swap in the “analog” clock on the right side so my kids in the back seat can easily see what time it is. These are minor things, but they’re nice from time-to-time.
