Agreed. I'm probably never going to tune my car, but as soon as the warranty is up....I'm going to have to plan on spending 1-2K on a crankhub fix for peace of mind. Not the end of the world, but also not something i'm looking forward to either.

If you keep it stock with the warranty, you'll be fine.

Nothing to really sweat that any other of life's daily risk but if there's something out there that's more robust, then why not..

My god, the car is gorgeous in HS.

I just picked up a Mini JCW for DD duties, and the Silver Metallic is very similar to HS...all the CF touches on the M2CS just set off the car so well.

Can't wait to see one in the flesh.
I watched with MUTE ON as well.

Great idea, from what people said, you were on it.

Lets hope this situation doesnt cause BMW to contract its lineup. You know it wont cut an SAV (; ). And things like the m5 will always have its market. Not gonna touch the m3/4. Concerned the next M2 might be on the short list.

Hold your horses.

OK, we're perfectly aware that for BMW M cars, with "Gurney flap" (cf. the late American race car driver Daniel Gurney) reference was usually made to the stock feature of the discreet lip spoiler mounted on the boot lid.

For example: excerpts from the M2 Technical Training 2015 (that can be found here):

Name: M2_Gurney_1.jpg
Views: 733
Size: 17.1 KB
Name: M2_Gurney_2.jpg
Views: 732
Size: 17.9 KB

However, BMW M also officially calls the M2 CS CF trunk spoiler a "Gurney".

Two examples:

here (BMW press materials - Nov 6, 2019):
Name: M2_CS_Gurney_1.jpg

Size: 69.0 KB

here (BMW press materials - March 27, 2020):

The color combination was spot on. I may have changed my mind that this could be the best looking setup, compared to black on black that I voted in the old poll.

Exhaust sound was a major let down, even in Sport + mode.

I am one of those getting an allocation for the M2CS, but letting it go, instead buying a heavlly discounted 2020 M2C, due to the price indications here in Sweden. Turned out prices were not that steep, and discounts were available, but it was in my mind still not justifiable to pay the premium vs the M2C.

Still love the hood though....

For the same money, you can buy an M5 in the states, whilst I can buy a 520i.

And it's not just tax, it's manufacturers pricing structure too.

Looks a little too boy racer for me. Not to worry I can't afford it anyway. I'd still love to drive it once or twice though

I believe we should be thanking him for taking the time to create a lengthy video that gives us a great look at the interior and exterior of the CS. Yes, his skills need some honing, but without him it appears we would not have a video of this particular car. At a time when we weren't even sure if any had been produced, or if any were going to be produced.

Love the grill on the M2s in general. That blacked out centre piece is a cool mod I've see on some F80s too.

Amazing color...I assume individual paint?

Wish something like this would be offered as a standard option on the G8X launch...still coffee there's no reports of a silver option.
