Value of my M2C?
So our move to Ireland is 95% going to happen, so I am starting to prep for the sale of the M2C. Looking for some forum help to get an accurate value for the car in this unusual market. Some basic facts:
- 2021 M2C - Hockenheim, blue stitching, slicktop - 6spd manual - Exec package - M perf steering wheel, M perf pedals (both port installed) - XPEL PPF on front bumper - Llumar ceramic tint on windows - Full graphene ceramic coating on all painted surfaces, and all 4 wheels - 1580 miles, first 1200 mile break in thoroughly followed, break in service complete - non smoker, no accidents, etc... I was thinking of $70k, thoughts? TIA |

If you wanna sell to a dealer today you're looking at 60-63. Private shouldn't have any problems selling at 65-68

What if the buyer uses "The s55 sounds like crap" as a negotiation tactic??

definitely upper 60s, you might be able to get 70 private party.
Vroom offered me 66 for my 2020 with 20k miles so a 2021 with barely any miles will be way more, shit they might even give you upper 60s and it will be an easy sell. |

I’d say an easy $67-70k private party. My dealer buddies said run it over to your local CarMax for a quote too if you want a quick and easy out. The ones around here have been giving stupid money on nicer cars.

I can't wait for this supply-chain bubble to pop, so I could personally witness all loony sellers crash back down to earth.. Even if it includes the cure for cancer, I'm never paying over sticker for a depreciating asset, on sheer principle.. But in this current market, you bound to find enough folks with more money than brains.. |

Similar spec as OP, I paid 72k for mine MY2021 with 3k mi. The market was crazy, but for 4 seater with manual, factory warranty, not many you can choose from.

No sense in asking less than $70k. You can always accept less if you want.
These are great cars—and yours is specced perfectly IMO—and they ain't making any more of them. |

Dealership offered $64k for mine (I had 3200 miles).
Privately you can probably get $67k-$68k. The XPEL PPF and what not have never added any value to the car's price in the short-term but in the long-term if your paint is preserved, that's where you can probably get a little more money. Do you get tax savings with a dealer or is that if you only do a trade in? The problem is, if you sell it, there aren't many options out there to replace it with. You'll end up over-paying for another car. You could, however, potentially do a pre-trade and put it towards whatever car you want next (G87 M2 / G80M3) and then you can get $64k + get the tax savings. |

I think it would fetch about $65. I would sell on BaT or maybe Cars&Bids (much more likely to use BaT - better following, more established, etc).

Three (silver, red, black) MY2021 M2C manual trans got sold on carmax (1 is mine) at 71k, 72k and 73k in recent 2 months. I think they will easily offer you over 65k and sell it for 70+k. Good luck OP!

The market's changing fast on these. Here's a recent and public datapoint. This is a 2020, but it would've been an easy mid-$60's car a couple of months ago.
https://carsandbids.com/auctions/K1N...m2-competition Don't wait too long. Your best bet is going to be a dealer operating off of outdated market data. |

Mid to high 50's is still remarkable for a car that sold for 60k.

Same as 911, they are for kids not adults. My son (2 yr old) loves the M2c and wants me to take him out for a ride every night before going bed.

I'm selling mine either at EOY 2022 or Q1 2023 since I recently ordered a new car. But yeah, personally, it makes no sense to sell now, because you can't get delivery on anything anytime soon. |
