No issues in the US market that doesn't have the OPF. I'm actually surprised by how clean the S55 runs compared to other turbo DI engines i've had. I'll do two hour canyon runs where I beat the shit out of the car and there is zero carbon/oil on the rear or even exhaust tips.

I did not know that. My old M4C with S55 didn't have a OPF and the black soot was terrible.

That may have been the exhaust burble in the tune. It intentionally runs rich and regards timing in defer to make that noise, so you have combustion in the exhaust.

Weird, because the S55 in my HS 2020 M2C doesn't put out any soot
