Widest tires on stock 763M rims

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I'm looking for a final verdict on the widest tires we can fit on our stock rear wheels.

Would 295 be too wide? Has any one done it? First hand experience accounts are much appreciated.

Thanks!

you can fit 265 front and 295 rear, it fit..... but will feel vague so it's not the best, I highly suggest you check the specs of the tires on tire rack since each tire size have a suggested rim width. if the size you want say recommanded rim width 10-11.5. you're in the the tire specs so it's fine.

all oem wheels (437m / 763m and 788m) are 19x9 front and 19x10 rear

i highly suggest going with an agressive tire in 255/35/19 front and 275/35/19 rear if you want sticky tire with good handling

michelin cup 2
the new yokohama advan ad09 and the new bridgestone re71RS will be available available in 255/275

in the end sticky tire give better results than too wide tire on a narrow rim

there is also a lot of very sticky option in the oem m2 size 245/265 like

nankand ar1
goodyear eagle super car 3 and 3R
etc

i just check tire rack and 295/30/19 says rim width recommandation says 10-11 for the michelin 4s by exemple so it's fine

same 10-11 for goodyear eagle supercar 3 so you're good to go by the tire specs with 295-30-19 on oem rear 19x10 wheels

From what I've been reading, 35 might be tall for that size but yes pls do report back.

I'm currently on HR sport springs with 5MM spacers all around. Hoping to get maximum meat out back for that extraaaa thicc rear end

You might want to look further within the respective "tire size". I bought 255/275 MPSS's. There are several to choose from.

Mine were the widest MPSS:

Front tread width is 9.2" and the section width is 10.2
Rear tread width is 10.0" and the section width is 10.9

The current tires have a full inch wider contact patch than the stock tires that came with on car and look perfect for the wheel size. The OEM cup 2's were very stretched.

You'll have to qualify your question. Are you talking about stock height, no poke and zero rub? Do you plan to lower the car? Are you opposed to camber plates? Stock alignment? Widest number or widest tread width? Competition tire, semi-comp tire, Summer tire or A/S tire? Are you wanting a tire that's a bit taller to protect the wheel, or skinnier to give you better reaction time?

You must be very specific to get the correct answer.

I got my answer on the 295 as it has been done before in many posts.

The car is currently on HR sport springs, 5mm spacers. I would like to avoid camber plates and can remove the spacers. PS4S is the preference with a 30 side wall.

With this, I'm hoping to do 265/30 and 295/30 on the stock wheels. With my lowering setup and spacers, I'm expecting rub in the front and maybe in the back with a full load.

Question is, if I remove the spacers will it still rub?

First remember that the 30 series tires are shorter than the 35 series, so they help with the rubbing for sure.

The 265/30 PS4S is .8" wider than the stock 245/35, which is 10mm each side. But it's also .5" shorter, which is 6mm on top.

The 295/30 PS4S is 1.6" wider than the stock 265/35, which is 20mm each side. But it's also .3 shorter, or 3mm shorter.

The rear is easier to fit than the front, so I'd imagine you'd have little to no issue there. But the front, I feel like, depending on your current camber, you're going to have to play with it a bit. It may require you to remove the spacer, or to keep it, depending on where it rubs.

But at your height, you might not rub at all, even with the spacer, it just depends. I think it'll be close for sure, but I'm only a calculator, I haven't done it.

Was thinking of bumping the rear 265/35/19 cup 2s upfront and get 295/30/19 cup 2s on the rear. Car lowered on KW HAS to ride height 600 mm from bottom lip to fenders. No spacers on 763m will the fronts rub?
