A quick post to help others as there is not much definitive info out there on which endless pads actually fit the 2NH calipers. The post concentrates on the rears as this is the ones not listed where as the fronts are. I opted for the EIP127 vs the RCP077 as it supports the brake pad wear sensor. The RCP077 will follow the inner radius like oem I believe.

The pads I purchased are:

Front - EIP238 (SHAPE)
Rear - EIP127 (SHAPE)

A few points:

Rears:

• Used in Audi R8's, R35 GTR and a few others LINK
• Does not include the backing plate. If you are careful you can remove the backing plate from the oem pads as seen below. Installing this will remove the click when moving from standstill as the pads will not rock
• You can use some 3M transfer tape if you want to adhere the plate to the pad. I didnt have any on hand.
• Supports the pad sensor. I had to file the locating tab ever so slightly so the sensor clicked in. Essentialy just taking the colour off
• As per photo the inner arc is not perfect however the outer points still sweep the disc
• The edges are chamfered, the oem isnt

Fronts

• Fits perfect
• Includes backing plate
• Supports pad sensor
• Also required some light filing for sensor to click in
• Does not include vibration/anti squeal weights

I have a problem of clicking on the rear aftermarket brake pads as those don’t have the baking plate.


Any idea where I can get the baking plate to fit the aftermarket rear brake pads into? As swapping constantly this baking plate between the OEM and aftermarket pads will be PITA.

The only ones i found did not wrap around the edges so in theory they would still click. Since my oem ones are not glued it is easy to swap.

So dismounting the OEM brake pads from the backing plate and fitting the aftermarket pad in it will work just fine. No issues with the fact that two parts are not glued together. Is this correct?

I personally have had no issues. In theory it is no different than having a titanium shim on a pad that has no shim.

In saying that I have not reinstalled the oem pads with loose shims so I'm assuming the tiny bit of squeal I get is from pad material.

Rizk did you have an issue with the backing plate that comes around on the side not fitting inside the caliper properly.

We had a set of EIP238 today and they didn't seem to want to fit

Nope. Mine slid in without issue. I didn't measure the fronts as this to me was a off the shelf item for the M2C.

When you compare to the oem pad is it dimensionally the same?

The Pad is the same its just the backing plate that runs around the sides of the pad that seem to be too thick and causing an issue but its definitely an EIP238.

Can you confirm the rear size that fits as we were sent a RCP118 and it didn't fit the rear

You lost me I thought my orginal post was pretty clear on what pad profile I used. I used the EIP127.

The RCP118 is 4.7mm wider than the oem pad. OEM pad is ~67mm and the RCP118 is ~71.7 hence i doubt it fits. The RCP077 should also work but does not support the brake sensor.

My pictures in the thread should help confim your pad choice.

I'm aware we were sent the wrong rear in this case but the case I'm mentioning for is the EIP238 Front that we were sent. The backplate that comes around to the sides were not fitting.

Not ideal but can you just sand down the sides a little. I assume the rubbery coating is to thick.

How are the dust on these, forgot if I asked you this before in another thread. Have you tried or can you transfer the weights or the OEM shim to the fronts? Trying to plan for when I have to replace the brakes. OEM are too dusty for what they are, and grabby.

chris719 I'm assuming you are using a different pad then endless because the fronts already have the backing plate. I don't see why you couldn't remove the plates like I did on the rear but didn't test this on the fronts.

The weights are riveted however not sure if they can be re-riveted. Honestly I don't believe they are required. I do have some minor squeal but I suspect more from the compound vs the weights.

IMO the MX pads are not less dusty than OEM.
