There is no way they've made over 1000 M2s already. Although for my sake I wish they did!!! I don't care at all about exclusivity, I care about the experience and the looks. I do see, however, that if someone does care about exclusivity and funky, cartoonish styling (not necessarily a bad thing, but I prefer the honed and precise look), then the 1M is probably the car for you.

WOW! LBB looks incredible!
I'm still in the fence between the 2 and 3, and this just put me on team 2. Again...

Don't get me wrong, i like LBB, but Bmw did a serious mistake giving VO only in non M-Sport 2 series rather than keeping it for the M2 in regards to 1M fashion...

yes, it is the same open pore carbon fiber you get with M-Performance parts in 2 and 3 series. It is retains the texture of the weave.

Nice pix!
The CF interior components look like it has a different type/finish than what I've seen on the M3/M4. Is it just the photo image?

Rear fenders look awesome on the M2. That color combination with a stitched black interior is going to really make this car a beaut. I can't wait to see it. I think it's going to be the ultimate daily driver. The modding options are going to be out of this world and it's going to be a real popular member of the range of M cars on offer.
