The car in the video (OP) is actually an M235i racing. Look at the bodywork vs M2...
AFAIK in VLN racing 2017 there is the Schirmer M2 which has the M2 bodyshell but underneath it's all M235i Racing, including 8AT gearbox. https://www.1erforum.de/threads/schi.../#post-2657851 Looking at this one and the square fuel door this is also F22 based(F87 has a round fuel door) Cheers Robin |

That is definitely an M235R. The way the trunk and hood latches is a dead giveaway. Really impressive machine!

Couldn't tell if 235iR oder M2. The only thing that made me wonder is the 8 gearbox. It even has the M2 emblem on the kidney. But in the official list, it was listed as an M2! Page 5 in the .pdf |

This video says: "This was originally a Marc Cars Mazda 3 series sedan which was converted to look like a BMW M235i. Qvick Motors removed the Mazda body, leaving a tubular chassis. Then they painstakingly fitted the BMW Body on the chassis. The end result looks very good and it's a unique car now since Marc cars only make a Ford Focus and Mazda 3 sedan on this chassis." It looks like a M235i Racing to me. But I would love to learn more about this conversion from a Mazda 3 chassis. |

Marc have a space frame chassis. You can then choose panels to sit on top- currently they have a FordFocus or a Mazda 3:
http://www.marccarsaustralia.com.au There is no factory tie- these are race cars. "So here is the latest MARC Car to hit the tracks in Europe. Our customer Qvick Motors recently purchased the Imola chassis and has fitted a M235 BMW body based on the M235 Cup car. It's fantastic to see the expansion of our modular chassis / body concept! The car looks tough, and as always sounds great! The car will be rraced first up at the BGRDC Spa 400 race next month. We recon it's pretty awesome. Enjoy the footage from testing last week at SPA. I'm thinking it's basically like NASCAR or DTM where you have M4, RS5, or C63 on a spec space frame. |
