Calling it a "competition package" on the M2 Competition is like calling the M2 just a 2 series with an M package...it's so incorrect and people need to stop perpetuating it.

It's not the same as on the M3 and M4 where there were ACTUAL competition packages with a designated option code.

Not to mention that the word "competition" is completely misused now. Who is competing with an X3M Competition?

I know it beats the competition because it has preforated 12 O'clock badging on the steering wheel. I just wish the preforations matched the Mosiac blue paint.

He also mentions that "this"car is 3.8 seconds 0-60, but it's the manual model he's reviewing, not the DCT.

I've seen a video of the car doing 3.84sec with 6MT which suggests DCT times well below that might be possible

Car and Driver found the 6MT M2C was 1/10th faster from 0-60 than the DCT version for two reasons: they could precisely control the launch since it has a clutch pedal and the DCT has a ridiculous 1st gear ratio (too short)...the additional help is the 55lb weight savings for the 6MT car resulting in it having a 1.5% better power/weight ratio.
