BSM thoughts
I have not been able to see the CS in person and am wondering if BSM will not be a good color hiding too much of the car's aggressive stance and design. I like the contrast with gold wheels but would appreciate feedback compared to MB.

I honestly saw both and you really can't go wrong with either... I decided to go with blue due to the color changing when it's in direct sunlight/night time and it really reminded me a lot of Nogaro blue (classic Audi color).
I would recommend checking out both in person because it looks much different in person and you'll know when ya see it. |

I personally don't like the fact that ever single car company seems to have a similar blue that those brand consumers all keep saying is unique (Misano in BMW, Miami in Porsche, Nitro Blue in Ford, Turbo Blue in Audi, Boost Blue for Civic Type R etc etc). These are all similar shades in my eyes. But you have to go with personal preference, and what kind of available car you can find at this point. I chose BSM, and have no regrets on my choice. If I had ordered the car, i probably would have ordered it in MB, and also had no regrets on my choice. |

My car that is BSM, was ordered by someone else that backed out before it arrived...I was also concerned about the color and it showing the lines and features. Let me just say that in person...it's not an issue at all. It looks very aggressive in BSM. My car has black 763M wheels, but I would prefer the gold if I had a choice.

I was personally not a fan of either color and I already had a white M5 so I went with white. Widely regarded as boring but nothing contrasts like it.

Patrick bmw has a black CS coming in in the next couple days. You should be able to take a look. it is a DCT car with gold wheels.
I know that crystal lake had ordered black 6MT/ with gold wheels but I really don't know what happened to that car. probably not sold. |

BSM is the best color on the F8x platform hands-down especially with Gold Wheels to contrast. Its the absolute perfect blend of aggressive/under the radar. Chris Harris spec!
As long as you meticulously keep it spotless... hubba-bubba The metallic flakes adds a lot of depth to it. haha I had BSM on a M4 and you cannot help looking back everytime. For the M2CS, I chose MB however to change it up! Last edited by Apppo; 01-14-2021 at 01:21 PM.. |

Damn, a picture is worth a thousand words . . . I avoid black cars ever since owning one because I can't stand visible dust . . . but that thing is menacingly beautiful!

4 colors. Can't go wrong with any one them. AW most rare then SBM, HS and MB.
Black is the most menacing by far and screams street fighter. White says motorsports Blue is Happiest color. HS is confused which color it wants to be All great colors. My 2 cents

I agree with all that has been said. I initially thought that black would hide the lines and the carbon. I think the black enhances the lines more than any other color, and the carbon noticeably stands out. It gets dirty quick though. You can see dust that adheres to the oil left behind by your fingers. It looks incredible though, no regrets. Get blue if you want to go longer looking clean between washes.

These examples are not making my choice any easier, the pictures are phenomenal. I was worried about the contrast with the carbon pieces.
I do have an e92 in white and added the carbon spoiler to match the roof and love the look, it has no options except DCT. Hence thinking of adding the M2 in manual. I had a manual e36 M3 in black and I still remember how I liked the look, with dove Vader's, and the work to keep it clean. I am not somebody that enjoys washing cars, rather drive.......but also like attending car shows etc. where every car shines! |

BSM is stunning on the F87. If you like clean cars but don't like cleaning them then black is not for you. Unless of course you can afford to have it detailed weekly. Whatever you do, DO NOT go through the car wash. Will pick up a ton fine scratches which are quite visible on black.

I have noticed on may cars over the years that painted plastic surfaces look slightly different that painted metal surfaces, usually only visible in certain light. There are enough angular elements in the bumpers that it is somewhat camouflaged, but a large flat painted CFRP hood may show it.
